Extrude Along Curve In Maya

How to extrude polygon components, such as faces and edges, along a NURBS curve in Maya.
1. Create a curve
2. Extrude a polygon face or edge along the curve by selecting the polygon component and then shift-select the curve, then Shift-Right-click Extrude.
3. To make the extrusion smoothly follow along the curve, add subdivisions in the channel box extrude operation.
4. Use the Taper value to make the end of the extrude thin/thick.

When I hit extrude face it does an extrusion but does not extend to the vertice of the curve..

I'm sure you've figured this out by now. But for other people, here's how to fix it. Instead of clicking directly on "Extrude Face" like in the video, click the square next to it to view its options. Change the "Curve Settings" from "Generated" to "Selected" and click "Extrude". Now, you can follow the tutorial.
