The reason he is getting speed wobbles is because he is resting on the back truck. You should never do this as speed wobbles always starts in the front truck. You should learn to ride on your front leg/foot at high speeds. It will feel weird at first but you will quickly realize that it eliminates the wobbles. Tight trucks is still a good idea for any eskate that goes fast, but you still need to ride on the front truck even when they are tight. I promise if you try this and master it you will be able to outride your friends and go way faster with lots of control. How to do this?... Place your front foot directly over the front truck and almost in line with the hanger (you can turn it a tiny bit if you want but you want to be lined up with the truck/hanger as much as possible. This foot placement/balance will stabilize the board at higher speeds if you lean all your weight on the front truck. You will have your legs bent slightly as it will make them act as shock absorbers and transfer shock to your legs a bit instead of the trucks. Your back foot will have almost no weight on it. You will steer the board from the front truck instead of the back when accelerating at high speed. This is a good way to practice...get in your acceleration stance and transfer all your weight to the front like I mentioned above. Start taking off but don’t ride too fast, maybe 15-20mph. Start slowly turning the board left and right but do it with your FRONT foot/truck. Doing this at a slower speed will help you get used to the concept of riding and steering from the front truck. Once you get used to the stance, then start doing speed runs in a straight line on a flat smooth surface using the new stance the whole time. You’ll see the control you have. Hope this helps!
