Iphone looked so good until it started throthlling back. Phones really need to have better cooling if they want to improve performance. I bet a SnapDragon 865 would murder these phones if it would be actively cooled. Being able to push out 60 or more fps is half the job. Doing it for 30 minutes or more would be the other half. Test the Nubia red magic 3 with active cooling.

But power draw must equal to heat power dissipated, so the higher temperatures on the outside means two things: The iPhone has better thermal conductivity Or Other phones with vapour chamber cooling spreads the heat energy over a greater area, thus there isn’t a single “hot spot” I don’t think the iPhone throttles because it’s not able to dissipate the heat; drawing 3.8 W compared to 7-8W for other phones, there is no way the performance is being limited to prolong chipset longevity. I think Apple is pulling back performance so users won’t feel uncomfortably hot using it. Problem can be solved by spreading the heat over a greater area, which other android phones are doing.

That was my same thoughts. I'm more focused on phone longevity versus momentarily having good performance. 7 watts seems like it could damage phone. I learned awhile ago anything over 6 watts is bad when long term.

Im Mi 11 user. My experience when playing Genshin Impact is not good. First of all, my Mi 11 updated to ver. 12.5.1, when I fight alot of monster the FPS drop to under 30 FPS (Highest Setting), even I put it on Medium Setting Mi 11 cannot handle this game when there are too many skill's special effects. But on Mi 10 (My previous phone) this phone works really good, when fight alot of monsters, alot of skill's special effects, there is no FPS drop (the FPS is stable around 50-60 FPS, Highest Setting too). That's my experience using Mi 11 & Mi 10... I hope Xiaomi & Genshin Impact collaborating to fix this problems... Some Mi 11 users suggest me to downgrade the MIUI version so that I can get back the 60 FPS gameplay again. On MIUI 12.5.1 it's really hard to get 60 FPS, some Mi 11 users said that on MIUI 12.5.1, Genshin Impact FPS is locked to 30 FPS.

Depends on the context - if you are gaming at home, FPS is most important (especially now with everyone staying at home due to the ongoing pandemic). If you are going out, one big question is, do you have a power bank to charge? Another is the resolution - the iPhone actually has a slightly lower resolution than the Android phones. So part of the reason is the iPhone's GPU is better, but it is also driving fewer pixels.

it is not deceiving. it just shows both sd 888 and a14 are powerful chip with heating issues. both of them can push and maintain 60fps at the start. now, naturally both of the chips will heat up doing hard tasks, no doubt about that. now the difference is how they deal with the heat. A14 slowed down or throttle so it doesnt overheat while, mi 11 kept going and overheats. it's either drop the fps or burn up. it's like a marathon run where both runners sprint from the start and when exhaustion kicks in one chose to keep sprinting and the other switch to a more steady pace. it's up to you to decide which runner you prefer. the way I see it, the current heat dissipation technology for both phone needs to improve to balance out the powerful chip. in the meantime, using a cooling fan will suffice to prevent either throttling or overheating.

Just by watching this video I would know that the Snapdragon can be put on no. 1 position. The iPhone may seem to be in 60fps in the early game but that was just a few minutes. After a few minutes the iPhone fps keeps going down and just do a constant 40FPS where as the SDM888 keeps a constant 50fps for most of the times. Where as the Kirin 9000 seems to be handling better than Exynos it could hold itself pretty well but you can see there's some drops during the gameplay. It drops from a constant 50 to 30FPS for some time. While the Exynos 2100 isn't spectacular I could only give Samsung credit for trying to make a good CPU despite where they were a year ago. So I'll give this position to those Chipset 1. Snapdragon 888 (Xiaomi Mi 11) 2. A14 Bionic Chip (iPhone 12 Pro Max) 3. Kirin 9000 (Huawei Mate 40 Pro) 4. Exynos 2100 (Samsung s21 Ultra) It's good to see how the Snapdragon is holding but would love to see a new updated one with a better CPU from both Apple and Qualcomm with the plus version of SDM888. Keep the good job mate.

there are two things in this test that are a bit weird. 1. the kirin 9000 uses a worse gpu then the exynos 2100 but somehow has more fps which isnt quite possible 2. 12:50 you can see that the exynos looks like its clocking up and down very very often which looks like there is some sort of battery saver activated otherwise there is no reason why it clocks down even after a few minutes in the test…

For most of the game like Genshin, IOS and android has fundamental different in rendering quality. highest resolution in Genshin for android is 720p, IOS is 800p! Highest details for android also render slightly less detail (grass, flower, shadow etc) compare to IOS. for a more comparable perspective , it should be medium setting in IOS vs high setting in Android. But still its difficult to have a apple to apple comparison. the btm line is IOS's games will always have better picture quality in highest setting compare to andoird.

Draining or charging the battery while at elevated temperatures (generally anything above high 30s celsius) will degrade the battery faster than normal cycling at it's most stable temperature, which is normally around 20 degrees celsius. The hotter, the worse the acceleration gets. The fact that the Mi11 hit 50 degrees on the battery is an utter disaster, unless they changed the battery chemistry dramatically so that it is much more thermally resistant.

@@5stxr.kixn1 no it doesn't. those that doesn't have the antenna, they're limited to sub-6ghz 5G. still 5G, but not as fast as mmwave 5G. sub-6ghz is good enough to the area with limited 5G infrastructure. i guess it depends on the market and 5G readiness in your area, some exynos (south korea) might have the antenna, some might not. similar with iphone 12 series, us version has those mmwave antenna. the rest is limited to sub-6ghz 5G model.
