Between this album and Don't Go To Strangers, I cried a billion tears back in the 60's/70's and onward, so, at 69 years of age, , what's a few more!!! Thank you for uploading them.

Eydie was so fabulous singing those GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK showtunes. Eydie won a grammy in the mid 1960s as best female vocalist. She was so good singing those ballads.

I was first introduced to Eydie Gorme by my mother, who played her Spanish album (with the Trio Los Panchos, whom my mother sang with in the 1940's); and then I had the priviledge of seeing her in concert in 1972 at The Deauville Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida. Though I had to take off of work and sat alone, front stage, the evening was and will always be a memorable event. At the end of the show, Miss Gorme bent down and kissed me on the cheek. I had the honor of seeing her in concert two more times. She possessed an incredible voice, and honestly, was a gift from God. Of all the female vocalists who performed in my lifetime, I own more of her albums than any other singer.

One of the bes!!!! She had the misfortune of being on the same record label as Streisand, so Barbra took most of the glory, but Eydie, should have been bigger than she was!

My dad is now 97 years old and he is quite ill. I have just bought this album on Amazon so that I will be able to dream my way along memory lane.
