Nice review--been thinking about getting a drone, I've been a life long kite flyer and once had an RC motorized Radian glider I affixed a cheap 480k video cam to, which I could thermal up close to 5000 feet. I also attached a digital camera capable of 1080p to my kite using just it's strap, after I found a hack that would let it snap unlimited still pics til the battery died. I would hoist that on a thousand feet of line in the soccer and tennis park just behind our house. Drones were not out then, other than a few indoor ones that did not amuse my cat or dogs. Thank u for sharing, this may be my 'self' Xmas gift, since my daughter and her Mom share memories with me, and not gifts, since we each have our own hobbies. You answered all my questions, especially max altitude, which is perfect and safe for US Class B airspace which I live and fly fixed wing light aircraft in from time to time.

It's something that can really be used, it's not like you haven't been to forest camp very much this summer, but maybe this drone can help with that.

I just bought this drone with the same updated controller. Which of the many apps are you using? Is it the one named Ruko Drone? I ask because I can’t get the app to connect to the drone via the controller. Even though my iOS phone is plugged into the controller and I’ve given it all the permissions in the world. Wondering if you had any issues and/or tips. Thanks. Cheers!

@@BushwackerManthat pinky ring and no license will have the FAA all Over ya bud. People get busted all the time on you tube for this very thing. People catch themselves and end up in a pickle.
