ink!! prosthetic eyes are laaamethey are just made to be "esthetic" in the same color as your natural eye but is boring after a while, is not like a prosthetic leg that help you to walk again, an eye is just to "make you look normal" i would totally PAY for a doll eye like those for me

you can also use clear builder gel (for gel nails) for the lenses. Still needs UV to cure, but I've found that it's cheaper ounce for ounce than Magic-glos.

Thank you so much for this! I really believe the thing that makes BJDs so special isn't the actual ball joints but the special eyes. They really make the dolls come alive. The eyes tell the story of the doll. They mirror the personality of the doll and make it become a real entity with history, emotion, personality. For someone who wants their dolls to be truly unique, eye making is a must in my opinion!

Making dolls is not about it looking pretty and cute, it's about the effort and love you put into it. Like you're not going to have children and neglect them because they're not what you wanted them to look like. The only real advice I can give you is to stop making excuses and start making successes. Work for money and then maybe you can start making dolls. These people didn't start making beautiful dolls out of thin air, they've worked their asses off just to do the face.
