How to make dolls eyes / DIY / tutorial / no resin

A quick & easy way to make eyes for your sculptures without using resin, with polymer clay and glass cabochons. This is one of the ways I make eyes for my art dolls, to view my work check out the links at the very bottom. :)

Oh how I’m glad this tutorial exists! My doll custom has a very special design of eyes that I couldn’t just simply buy so I have to make them! Resin is incredibly expensive to get where I live, so seeing this cheaper (and easy!) alternative that looks just as nice is such a relief 🥰 Thank you!

Just a thought, you can use black nail polish for the pupil if you don't have glass paint. I've used that with great success in the past.

If they don't need to go in the oven you could, but you wouldn't get the dome shape.

This acrylic paint was ok in the oven at 130c but you'd have to try your brand. I don't like to breathe in any fumes so I have a mini oven in the garage.

Hi, yes they are, the ones that I put in the white clay got baked and were fine. But you should test with whatever paint you use.

These are sticky eyes but not safe for amigurumi

No they shouldn't be sticky, the paint dries and the white polymer clay gets baked hard.
