I saw one of these beetle for the first time today in my backyard. So of course I killed it. After reading about it, I kind of felt sad (just a little). This thing FLIPPED itself on a piece of wood, I saw him 5yds away. Which is why I walked over to see what it was. I really got RID of it because I thought the two black spots on his head was its eyes and he was watching me watch him! I learnt that they are just spots and its EyEzZz👁👁 are located under its whiskers. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Not funny or cute ... I am at 72 still learning about Nature and all its amazing creatures and critters ... I leave things alone and research anything I am seeing for the first time ... Life is an unending Academy of Learning if you open your heart and eyes and mind to it ... Man is the deadliest Predator in existence ... What Animals (or ANY LIVING THING NOT HUMAN) do they do without knowledge ... Man on the other hand does what he or she does with FULL AND COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE and FREE WILL ... Man know better ... Man is gifted with FREEDOM OF CHOICE and FREE WILL ... Man is the only living entity that continues to Pollute this planet ... To OVERDEVELOP ... To destroy all that is Natural and beautiful ... To reroute and terminate natural waterways and sources ... To continually destroy Natural Habitats for so all Wildlife ... Man is responsible for so many species going Extinct ... Man is the greatest most gifted intelligent creation AND THE DEADLIEST ... So please give all living things a chance to survive in the chaos and devastation that Man is STILL doing ...
