Does the old one still work? I had one and fried it by keeping it on the dummy load too long. I would like to get a replacement transmitter. If the old one still works I would be interested in buying it. I have a stereo coder as well. I had the 4 watt unit. Thanks! Dale

Hello Dale, Thanks for the comment. The dummy load is ok for one watt but for 4watts it won’t be good to keep it on... I love this transmitter works perfect. I’m not selling this one just yet as I’m going to be testing it with an amp... With being in lockdown I’m going to build another one... Brought this as a kit on e bay about 6 months ago. They don’t pop up often so keep an eye out.... The PCB, transistors and ic chips are easily available on e bay... see description for item numbers... if you want the instructions send me your e Mail... many thanks Aron

Great video! Thank you for the effort and sharing! To be honest, no experience with this Transmitter, I do believe have I saw the schematic! And if I am correct, I do not think that the oscillator (with 6 coils) is a success, despite the fact that it works well. I would go for the PLL part alone! Do I have a question? How low in the band can the transmitter be? Is 87MHz really the lowest? ( nowadays they are under FM band, around 85MHz ) Healthy and Friendly Greetings from the other side! ( The Netherlands ) Rob

Hello Rob, Thanks for watching and for the comment.... Them 6 coils did need a bit of a fiddle to get it to lock up... But that was probably due to my coil making 😬. Yes it dose work really well... The one on the video is the best one I’ve had regarding RF power. I’ve made a few over the years... Just building another one up now for a Freind... As for your Question the lowest it goes is 87.5 up to 108 MHz... Take care, Stay safe Aron

Can be anything up to 5 + miles depending on how high you get the aerial..

5W CW with tuned dipole 10m up gives me roughly 40km. Put your money on the antenna, not power. Power will only get you so far with a shit antenna, especially if its running under heavy load mismatch. ✌️
