Oh my, this is fantastic. I had an added bonus with this video. The Spirit of Independence! I am from Kansas City and I knew JC Waters. I used to go to his boat shop in Independence and I kept up regularly with his progress as he built this schooner. I would go visit him and he seemed to always be able to take time to give me a tour, let me go on board and down below. He was a stunning craftsman and I remember him telling me about his dreams and goals to finish construction and then take her down the river to the ocean. I was sad to hear of his untimely passing but in that I learned that JC was an Eagle Scout and a hardway warrior Sachem in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. RIP JC, your brothers, both in the Tribe and Sailors too, will carry on. I will watch this again and again as I think that JC must be on board, looks like this was done before he passed.

That's a Bolger Light Schooner. Quite a handful in a blow, even with a good crew.
