if I want to work on my .DWG file from Autocad, do I have to copy paste to my computer then work on it and upload it again to my NAS after i finished working? or I can work directly from NAS without having to download and upload it every time I work on it?

You can work directly from the NAS

That did not go into much depth at all, I was hoping to learn a lot more. That’s the problem with explainers (the concept): they’re either immediately into too much breadth and depth or are the briefest of surface surveys, not really being sufficient to get you going. I hope you can see that as constructive criticism. Maybe that’s all you wanted to impart?

Hmmmm. This vid was not so helpful. Which of these could or would be used for what purpose and in what environment? NFS was non-stateful and based on UDP and what is it now? Linux flagged NFS4 as experimental for years and it was quite unstable except in a Solaris monoculture.

Exactly. Not really instructive
