Eyes on Reading: Dr. Stanislas Dehaene with Emily Hanford

Acclaimed journalist Emily Hanford delves into this urgent topic with Dr. Stanislas Dehaene, one of the world’s foremost experts on learning and the brain. I really enjoyed this video and truly believe we all need to be listening to Dr. Stanislas Dehaene and Dr. Mark Seidenberg when it comes to beginning reading instruction. I'm not sure if it's in this video or another one, where Dehaene talks about all words being able to read phonetically. I'm attaching a link to a video I've created of my daughter's journey becoming a proficient reader. The video is her journey reading phonetically-controlled books. She has not been given a single word to memorise.
