I have always wanted to soar this bit of coast. I have spent many years down West Bay going out in my boat and looking inland to see the paragliding guys flying there. By the way Tim, I got my pilot rateing in the end, took two years to make a log book to hand in to the bhpa. joined Skytribes as well. So with luck will be all over come the summer. Nice video. Hi Ranald, a few people have asked this - it's a slightly modified clamp I bought off eBay for £7.99 (search for "Flexible Long Arms Mobile Phone Holder Desktop bed mobile for Galax S4 Iphone"). I'll write a blog post about it in due course, but hope this will help in the meantime: Mods - 1) swapped the flexi arm onto the other jaw of the clamp because there was some movement in the hole and the hole on the other jaw was a snug fit, 2) stripped down the clamp at the top of the arm to the bare minimum with a knife heated on the cooker to melt the plastic, 3) shaped a small bit of wood that more or less matched the shape of the inside of the karabiner and screwed it onto one of the jaws of the clamp so that it wouldn't move around on the karabiner.
