While rewatching Legendary, I fell in love with the House of Lanvin all over again. So, here's a compilation of some shady moments by none other than mother Eyricka Lanvin herself.
PS: I didn't really edit these clips, so it's just a compilation. :)
Legendary is a voguing reality competition show that premiered on the subscription-based streaming service HBO Max on May 27, 2020. Legendary showcases the competition between eight houses from the world of ballroom. Each house consists of five members, with each house battling for a chance to win $US100,000 and Legendary status. In July 2020, HBO Max renewed the series for a second season.
DaShaun Wesley plays the role of the Master of Ceremonies, abbreviated MC or emcee, and more specifically the host of Legendary. The main panel of judges include Jameela Jamil, Law Roach, Leiomy Maldonado, and Megan Thee Stallion.

I was initially annoyed too, but commentary from the Leiomy after the finale made me understand why Balmain won. Contrary to other reality competition shows, the premise for Legendary is that every ball is different and will be individually judged. So track record didn’t hold much weight in the judges eyes, what only mattered was how well houses performed at the current ball. Balmain clearly won the last ball, so they won the 100K. Think of it as 100K for that specific ball and not for winning the overall competition I guess. I don’t mind this method tbh, but Lanvin will always be my fav.
