Thanks to your videos I'm now an owner of Joyo Crunch drive alongside a VIntage overdrive (that replaced my modded SD-1), and I've also got a FXL 8 Pro :) You, sir, make my wallet thinner by the day (I live in Serbia, so even a cheap pedal makes 10-15% of my paycheck), but I don't regret it because the sound and build quality are really, really good. Thank you for making videos and doing a really good job at demoing. Also, this pedal can cope in a more "modern" metal setting boosted by an OD (tried on a 7 string and other low tuned settings).

Thanks for the praise... The US Dream is great and also lets a bit of the clean tone shine through, but I think your best bet to be more flexible and be able to dial in more distortion without sounding metal I would get the DELUXE CRUNCH. Check out the video and see how much this pedal can do. The Crunch Distortio isn't bad either, it is kinda dirty though, but you might like that...

Just got one of these today, sounds really good. Dig it. The trim pot inside is awesome too, it shapes the tone control for how much treble/high mids there is and makes the curve customizeable. Gets everything from a smooth overdrive, to a great Marshally crunch, to a high gain distortion all in one box. I highly recommend this, especially for the price.

This is the best review of this crunch distortion pedal I've ever seen on youtube. I bought mine from china for U$ 33 and I can say that is the best distortion pedal of my collection. The only difference, I do not know if it's relevant or not, the manufacturer's name is joyo. But the sound is the same, powerful and defined, even using a stratocaster.

The Deluxe Crunch is different from the Crunch Distortion. It is more on the dot.... the crunch distortion is dirty me not as flexible as the deluxe... they are really different pedals and both are definitely worth the investment.

Great review! I thought it was very helpful to hear how the tone of the pedal fit "into the mix". Even though there wasn't a large range of tonal variety, this pedal sounds like it pulls off its one trick very nicely!

Thanks for the rapid answer! I've read that the Deluxe Crunch pedal is not only a Crunch distortion pedal with the Presence knob outside, but it has a different sound. Listening to your videos, I like so much the sound of Crunch Distortion pedal with 3 knobs. My question is: the Deluxe Crunch can recreate the same sound of the other pedal, or not?.

Apologies for the late response to your video. However, I assume that this pedal uses analogue circuitry. It certainly sounds like it. Nevertheless, the only place where I've been able to find any information regarding this is "Tonepedia"? Would you be able to enlighten us as to whether this is an analogue effect (as I suspect), or a digital one made to sound (and look) like an analogue one? Thanks in advance.

Please, I am loving yoru reviews, I subed, but please, I need an advice, what would you get, this Joyo crunch distortion or the joyo deluxe crunch distortion???? I really like both pedals.... I am planing to get the Joyo Vintage Overdrive as son as I find it, and I would use it in my pedalboard either with this crunch distortion or the deuxe crunch distotion, what would you recomend??

Crunch. Deluxe is good but a little harsher and scoopier (somehow it manages to be both). I think Joyo got it right first time. It's a clone, but a damn good one.

Recently someone opened the Crunch distortion and discovered an internal pot that adjust presence. Maybe DLX and Crunch are exactly the same pedal. You should try it. I only have the DLX version at home, so I can't say the truth about it

Henning, really enjoy your videos, talent and humor. Which of the Joyo (OR) Harley Benton pedals accurately covers the driven Marshall In A Box (MIB) tone? Gary Moore used a Boss DS-1 when using his 61' strat to add bass and thickness to his sound. I wish to do the same for my strats or teles. Presently I'm TS rich and am searching for the MIB sound. The pedals I own are: Fulltone FD 2 Mosfet, Fulltone RTO, Keeley Voodoo Labs SD, Keeley Boss BD-2. Is a Sweet Baby like a Boss Blues Driver?

Hi, you are doing very beautiful videos, with great sounds and also funny jokes :) (sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian...) I own the Harley Benton VO and I'm looking for a pedal with more distortion, but not for metal. In other words, a defined distortion (I'd use the pedal in the clean channel of my Fender frontman 212r Solid State amplifier, which has a good clean) for (expecially) rhythmic, and solos, too. Between Crunch Dist, Ultimate Drive, Deluxe Dist, US Dream, which one should I buy?

Can I use it as a drive booster? I had a boss overdrive-distortion and the volume dropped even with the volume maxed up. In comparison to the clean signal the drive was lower in volume...

The Crunch distortion is grittier and dirtier, the DELUXE is more defined and also a lot more flexible.... they are really two different beasts...

Kip Count You might want to look into a MOVALL Scorpion instead of the US Dream... it is also a clone of the Riot, but better and smaller... also, the Hornet or the Firefly are serious Sweet Baby competitors.... Hornet is already up on my channel... Firefly is a copy of the Mad Professor Honey Bee.... great pedal...
