This thing is nice. Also there is nothing stopping one from chaining two pedals on a single loop when you have 2 pedals that always get used together to save a loop I would guess that a bigger one with maybe 8 switches will show up soon. also that would be 8 instant pedal-patches vs 4 before having to switch pages. Time will tell how that little 2A wall wart will hold up. that's kind of a big wattage for a tiny piece of electronics. heat dissipation becomes an issue. @@seanwesley9556 how do you daisy chain 2 X 200ma 1 X 300ma and 1 X 500ma? That would logically mean only two outputs are chained. The two 200ma yes? So... Make sure you don't put your drive or distortion pedals through them as they're more likely to give earth hum. Shouldn't be hard, I personally don't own any drive pedals that draw more than 200ma. I know it seems like a waste of the isolated higher rated outlets, but if it's a problem, don't buy the unit. At least be fully informed. @ryndanriley53485 жыл бұрын
You just said all the reasons I never bought a switcher. But this has 5 built in isolated power jacks and it's cheaper than my current iso5. So all the sudden the slight convenience of the switcher makes sense because you're getting a value on the power.

@@ryndanriley5348 I had a Harley B PowerPlant. The voltage on one output was 8.95V and the other one was just barely 9.01V under load conditions. My pedals didn´t like that. @MrDblStop5 жыл бұрын
@MrJLobster But what about the possibility of loops of pedals? Is that what you meant by "four rows of pedals"? I've just bought one of these to use with 10 pedals. I already have the PowerPlant ISO 1 Pro which powers 8 pedals, so when I came to add pedals and look at another power supply, this was a no-brainer. I'll have some pedals together in loops, and the switching options of banks is a whole new world for me. Can't wait to get it hooked up, but I'm having to wait for Santa to bring me a Harley Benton Spaceship 60XL board. Measure twice, order once- the 60 wasn't big enough! Got a lot of love for Harley Benton at the moment. When you can't fault the quality and the price is good, there's no room for snobbery over the name.
@MrJLobster5 жыл бұрын
@@MrDblStop Thanks for asking! Now were talking serious! Switching small loops (or rows) of pedals is what makes sense in my opinion - but even then there will only be 11 different combinations possible if I´m calculating correctly. Nothing on my side against Harley Benton - it could be as well written One Control on the unit - it doesn´t change the fact that for 4 pedals is not r e a l l y a switcher necessary. If you got noisy old or bad bufffered pedals to switch out of your signal path -that would be a reason too but nothing like that is mentioned in Hennings vid. So I wanted to point that out. Have fun!

Loop switchers are kind of stupid expensive. Most switchers either fall into programmable or non programmable category. And those that do both are even more expensive. This one looks to be programmable only, which is a mixed bag. I had the Moen GEC9 Commander V2, which is actually easier than this one and controls more loops, and it's about $250-$290. High quality build and quiet operation. But it's switching is for programmed loops only, so jamming and just experimenting with different pedal combos is really impossible with that switcher. I believe this Harley Benton would be the same. One that does both and looks attractive is the EHX Super Switcher. It's large, but does nearly everything but allowing for changing the pedal order digitally (like the Boss ES-8 or Gig Rig G2 can do).
