EZ DIY HOW TO HAVE A 2.39:1 PROJECTOR THAT WON'T COST YOU $5000 AND UP!

I do video design for theatre and raves and use this trick whenever I need short throw in an environment that’s not conducive to the mirror trick. Here are a few tips and corrections for anyone interested in trying.. First, this method actually works FINE on normal throw projectors, it’s not true that you need long throw (but it is correct that it won’t work on a short throw projector). I’ve primarily used these lenses on projectors with a standard 1.5:1 throw. Turns 1.5 into .65! It’s also incorrect that you need an aspect ratio of 16.9 or 16.10, in fact the very opposite is closer to the truth. This method works BEST on 4:3 Lastly, for everyone asking about links to these lenses, I’d just search for something like “58mm wide angle lens adaptor”. The .43x Altura one’s on Amazon go for about $25. Note that wider .35x fisheye versions will result in much greater distortion/warping

Sorry, if I'm asking something noobie or if I'm misinterpreting the information. From what I understood, the .43x lens will result in a 43% larger image and a .35x size will result in 35% larger? And the less the magnification, the greater the distortion?

am i'm missing something or it's just a zoom lens? i mean it doesn't do anything like real anamorphic lens do. This lens just zooms a picture like if would putting your projector backwards.. no? As i can see the light projector putting out is still 16:9 and you loose pixels and light for 1:2.39 picture. Correct me if i am wrong :)
