Juan For some reason you being salty feels like you’re one of the people who die instantly and lose people the match, I can play solo and defeat him but where’s the fun in that. Sometimes when you play with good randoms you have so much fun and it makes the fight easier. KZbin is filled with videos like these on how you should play or how you can improve yourself, they’re just not taking the time of day to give a fuck about them. And you can’t argue that they don’t have time for such trivial matters now that everyone is forced to stay home.

I've found evade extender and evade window to be extremely useful against brachy raging brachy. Extender let's you get out of the blast puddles and most of his attacks are easy to with the forward hop. You'll have a lot less down time than with guarding, i have no points in guard, the play style is so much more rewarding ! Also negates the need for earplugs

I used to do that but I now feel this is a waste of the slots, bc one mantle never gets the use out of maintenance, and they often desync from each other in a way that makes maintenance not useful.

Rocksteady is the MOST important mantle for GL imo. It allows you to place the stake unimpeded ( just be careful)

I learned a good way to add guard if you dont have the jewel is Uragan Ambition on a safi weapon, and the uragan beta pants. Not the best the jewels, but it does add some guard

To avoid accident slow reloads You can mix hops with running attack and initiate charged shot instead of hit with it or after that.

You can't really run GL without Health Aug, cause that chip damage will be the end of you. Maybe you can manage with evade extender

The easy tripping and clutch staggering is just a feature of the gunlance long shelling. It does this to every monster.

I think earplug is a bit redundant as Shield can block roar as long as it face right direction and gunlance has a few move that have high commitment:, so you would likely in state that you can guard the roar almost instantly. Not like I disagree for earplug since sometime it's hard to face right to guard roar and gunlance's Shelling need few mandatory skill so you likely to have space for jewels left.

This is some sort of trick, my palico misses every heal, I never stop getting attacked long enough to heal or recover. I get run out of stamina and slow burn to death while that goddamn cat stares at me.

Watch for the parts of its body that turn red. That means the slime is about to fall off and explode! You can also use your slinger to expunge the red slime. But be careful for where your teammates are.

Can anyone help?? I’ve been trying to gather research in the elders recess for Gold Rathian investigations because that’s the only thing I can find online. I’ve gathered 800 investigations with not one single G Rath investigation. I am MR 81 and have fought a few in the GL. Am I missing anything?? Thank you

I had the same issue, the only thing I could say do is just keep gathering g rath tracks in the wildspire biome until you get one. Even if it's a crappy investigation just run it to farm tracks.

Slot-wise, I think your build should be the most efficient, and if you use 3 earplug/vitality instead, you can put 2 levels of evade extender, so you can back hop to chase the monster much more effectively, which is especially nice for multiplayer. However, 3 earplug/vitality is pretty difficult to get. Alternatively, if you use zorah alpha body, damascus waist, earplug charm and a level 4 slot upgrade instead of level 6 sharpness increase, you can use 2 charger/vitality and 1 earplug/vitality. Then you can still stuck 2 level of evade extender.

I think is called wyrsmtrike or something like that. It's an iceborne addition for Gunlance. You use your sling ammo in the weapon and you gain some kind of "sticky mine". Every damage you deal in the area close to the sticky deals extra

I didnt need slot upgrade vi, but I suppose you could do that if you wanted to. Since I already have a shield, divine protection 5 feels unnecessary Slinger capacity 5 is important for giving yourself uptime on your damage bonus from the wyrmstake

Unless I'm using the SS which I've done, then I'm running antiblast against that A hole. SS got mobility so you can roll everything. But everything else yah gotta have antiblast

Ok so I've heard from multiple people that blast resistance doesn't do anything for his slime. Does it just not prevent the scourgeblight, or does it just not decrease the damage taken?

@@jamiejamie8 you gotta have it unless you like rolling... Alot of rolling. You will not get it however you will still take explosive damage but it's reduced if you got lvl 3. Divine blessing is pretty much a must have too bc if you don't use it your chances of getting 1 shotted go way up. My advice do it solo until you know all of his movements than try it with other people.most of the time people just screw things up

Not using the gunlance but I did pick up The regular Lance while it doesn't do the most damage and honestly needs a buff to keep up with the rest of the weapons... I feel like I figured out why they will not seemingly buff it. It has such high defensive capabilities You're literally invincible with the right setup If you also had high DPS it wouldn't make Lance absurdly out-class every weapon in my opinion I feel like they will not give the Lance more damage because it's supposed to lean more into the defensive capability. Speaking of countering the clutch claw counter that is absolutely satisfying while I do hope they give it a bit more damage as it seemingly the only weapon they refuse to buff I don't mind it

But the gunlance which has the same defense capabilities does way more damage compared to lance, especially with long shells since you don't even have to tenderize a spot. Lance needs a damage buff, or give it a more robust shield, Temp Rajang still does a shit ton of dmg even with Guard up and guard 5.

@@GeneralKnife Agreed, if the trade-off is the weakest offense for the strongest defense, lance shouldn't have chip damage, or maybe blocking shouldn't reduce stamina. Lance's defense is far from impenetrable against these late-game monsters. Personally, I feel how the shield works now is fair but the lance should do a bit more damage to encourage aggressive play.

Unless you're a speed runner why in the hell do I see so many hunters with no defense? 90% of the time I play solo every monster now I've done solo. Even the ancient lechien. I will always have health boost, divine blessing or tool specialist or combo it. Hell I have no problem running all three. Sure you don't do massive amounts of damage but guess what you will not get carted and if you do you F'd up. I'll argue that the majority of players would do more damage on average with a defense build over offense bc if you're in the fight you're dealing consistent damage over the all damage YOLO jackass running 5piece Safi set with no health boost thinking he gonna KO in 1 swing.

Been playing MH4U these past weeks with full groups on the 3DS and getting back to MHW, I gotta say: Temporal mantles ruined this game. Every single one uses them and it's completely lazy. It took every precaution people SHOULD have, specially when the monster is enraged. The entire point of this game is carefully avoiding stuff and watching out for monster attacks and this stupid mantle took that off of us, for a major part of most fights. And it replenishes way too fast and I see people using 2 to 3 times in a fight.
