You know for $12,000.00 this thing should have hydraulic drive and electric mobility.

Why not put the weights on the end of an arm which pivots at top and has a jackstand that lifts it up&out so you can jeep the COM within the footprint for a wider scope of tasks

I think it’s great idea but too expensive

$12800 on Amazon? You would have to be a mental patient to pay that much for a glorified engine crane with a winch on it ? For that money you could buy a used skid steer or forklift hell even a real crane .

You could build one for around $500.00 this a glorified manual truck crane from harbor fright

the deflection in that boom is scary. soft start VFD on the winch drive to cut that bouncing out.

a licensed professional structural engineer (SE) certified the EZ Rig Crane to handle the load-chart ratings. We were not satisfied and destructively tested the crane physically proving that its fail points are well beyond the load chart in all instances. There is deflection but the video shows a lift of 400 pounds over equipment using the jib boom with a reach of 18 feet. This crane will take it and be ready for the next lift.

EZ-Rig Crane the cranes in my shop dont flex anywhere near that much at full capacity
@AndyCollins6 жыл бұрын
Ez Rig is demonstrating a 400# lift at 18’-0” off the center pin with a piece of equipment weighing in at just over 1,000#. We could have chosen a lighter lift or shorter reach to video but we felt it was incumbent on us to show the limits of our crane and risk challenges to our claims. As a master rigger with 40 years experience in the construction industry I can say without reservation that this crane is safe within the load chart limits and has been certified by a professional engineer and fail tested by myself in our shop to validate our claims. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond to your reasonable and well-founded questions.

And snap goes the boom
@EZRigCrane6 жыл бұрын
no, the boom will not snap. That is the point of deflection. Note that while the boom will flex, the base of the crane remains solid to the the ground. The crane is designed and engineered to pick the video’d load - that’s why we took the video. We want to show how the crane will react to loading and not avoid that issue in our presentation of the crane.

At the 43 second mark the base lifts on the floor

it is always wise to utilize at least two workers to lift anything with a crane. One to operate and one to hook and unhook load and to spot landing points and potential interference.

This video should be for marketing??? After seeing this video, I am sure this would not be the crane I would buy. It seems back aking to handle and it has to be handled by two and it looks not very solid and safe. way to thin metal parts. Also the design does not seem thought about with the unhandy shape. And the it is said "it only takes a minute" but we see a video edit time cut from manouvring to the cargo already on. This gives the impression it even takes way more time to handle the crane. Maybe the crane is not that bad but this video makes sure we start to doubt this crane. If this video is meant for marketing (It is on the crane its schannel so it seems) then it is the worst add I ever saw :)

Wow that thing looks sketchy as hell. Like buy an entire forklift with an extension boom attachment for that money lol then be able to resell it later.
