Thank you for a good "common sense" video ! Our Skylights allow BRUTAL heat in the Summer. Been looking for reasonable options. I think this might be it !!

Awesome trick! Thank you! I sewed 6 different size shade fabric skylight covers that are getting quite worn out after 12 years. This idea is perfect for saving me having to sew them again. Wow so happy I ran across your video. Where did you purchase your fasteners?

Thank you for sharing the installation process, as well as , pointers such as "Measure twice, cut once!". I've been looking for a product that I can install myself, take on and off with the seasons, and, is easy to store. Looks like I may have found that product. Thank you for your efforts and sharing the video.

It made it better and still had benefit of the skylight I suppose if it’s a real problem you could probably could almost double membrane and still have the fact that you have skylight and even better benefit I didn’t do that but it could be an option if it made sense for you

How well does it cut down on the heat inside the home? Thanks for sharing.

@@mightyj806 Thanks. 👍 We put these on our home (last summer) and they work extremely well.

@@beepbop6697 Do you have any updates on how well this skylight screen has held up? I have a skylight above my bonus room over the garage and the heat is way to much during the summer. The angle of the roofs is a little bit steep, so I only want to install this once, if you know what I mean! :)

Could you cut it with scissors at the end once it is installed? Just trim the excess off
