Awe Snap! This is fantastic... The Ezarcher and EndeavourOS are my only 2 ways of installing arch anymore... I'm sure Ezra will be glad for the ShoutOut! He does do a great job on his ISO and Scripts... You and Eznix are 2 of my favorite channels to watch! Yes I'm old and slow too! Great Steve, thanks! Actually I wanted to live briefly in Plasma for a month or so, and did the same 'automatic' install like yourself(Archlabs in my case). But I'll clean the metal and will install Eznix's version. He's indeed due more attention (been following him for a year or so). And it's so much fun tweaking his scripts.

Don't see anything wrong with Source Forge. It's easier than Github and doesn't infect your system with malware like CNet used to do.

@@billfarley9015 not saying it does and I don't even mind not letting me to cherry pick the mirrors, at least give me a decent speed. Ive had as bad as 2kbps and best only at -2mbps.

I like anyone who doesn't feel the need to flex their tech-superiority about installing/using Arch the "Arch" way. Been their, done that. No need to do it again. I've been working in or around IT for the better part of 35 professional years and have better things to do with my time these days. Back to the topic... Endeavour on my prod and backup machines for a good while now. They do a good job of improving things that are worth improving while making things accessible for folks with a logical installer and a welcoming forum.

But you can just go in to the script and change the pacstrap files from linux-lts to just linux.

@@OldTechBloke that's a challenge. I did the same thing but.. Had to find out how with Archiso... Cauz it's the mainline one officially. I wonder how he proceeded... I'm going to ask (if it's the one with calamares.. Not the script)

@@Appalling68 yes.. But if you use archiso to build the iso... Even if you choose lts in packages..it will still be Linux mainline. You have to modify files in airootfs... At least that's how I did.

OTB, this is a nice review but I absolutely loath Arch. My philosophy of a good OS is an OS that makes things easier, not more difficult. Arch is a good idea but seems rather incomplete. Mint/LXDE is my ticket. It is fast and simple. Well done OTB!
