I'm happy to share another product, a cheap one again, from the makers of #ezcap. This time, it's all about audio - #cassette tape to #mp3 conversion. This is the #ezcap231.
The conversion process is easy and simple. You just have to know the quirks which I will be giving the details on this video.
I'm happy to know that this product exists, tho it may not be as perfect as it may sound, it will be a great help in preserving my (long lost) collection and memories from my teen days.

Hello Mr.Spliffy TV Good afternoon I got the same device and followed your instructions with the usb format and the recording method but unfortunately the result of the recording is an audio file with nothing but static. Is there is any way I can fix my problem

if the ezcap is able to record a file, the USB drive is possibly not the problem. have you tried listening to the tape by itself? is it good? you can also try another USB drive. i tried 4 USB drives and only one worked flawlessly. or... you might have a defective item.

@@SpliffyTV Thank you for your reply and yes i did listen to the tape and it was fine also the blinking doesnt seem to stop so i dont think its the usb and i get an audio file on my usb but when i play it there is no sound

I didn't quite get the question 😅😅😅. but here's what it is - this is the standalone version, we can record the sounds from the tape deck directly to the USB drive. there's another version of ezcap which lets you play from the tape deck and record the files to a PC

@@SpliffyTV what I mean is I have a Sony mp3 player and wanted to know if i could connect it to the usb on the device and record directly to the Sony without using a computer. In other words use the Sony like a thumb drive

I see. I havent tried it. It could work if your mp3 player detects as a usb drive when plugged in.

Does this version led you record directly from the Pc ?

this is the stand alone version. plug a usb drive and the recorded mp3s will be stored there. on its own, it is used that way. however, if you have a v8: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnbNgYerdt13mNU, maonocaster: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKnRY5SvnLyLitE or anything similar, you will be able to directly record via pc. EDIT: i havent tried this but you may try using a male to male 3.5mm audio cable plug it to the headset jack of this unit and the other end to line in of the pc. And use audacity to record while playing music.
