Great game, great trial guys. You could definitely see your fatigue at the end of the game on all sides. But, what an inspiration for us normies. I enjoyed it very much.

You are very kind and your encouragement goes a long way. I felt rather awful about how it went overall, but I'm choosing to take it as a learning experience. There's always the next game!

Also, I wish it were more lethal. More punishing 1s and just rougher mobs. The rising sands final encounter was perfect. We should talk about it.

Yes, the 1s were nowhere near as bad as they should've been. I want to run this system again. I think it has great potential for roleplaying.

In reflection, I think dungeon crawling likely is harder in 4D than social situations because there is so much interaction with the environment and that environment is generally static and of game importance. Whereas in other games you can roleplay with NPCs but players can “create” the environment around them. Less mental effort.

I agree. If I try something similar in the future I will try a few things. For example, I could create slides of each room which I show to the players when characters enter an area. Not the entire map, but just the single room at a time. Alternatively, the players could have a map of the dungeon (of questionable veracity) to start. Rick and Max suggested more of a web or flowchart construction which would also work I suppose. I was sticking to a map to avoid the temptation of the quantum room/monster/trap.

I really enjoyed this game a lot! I didn't realize you hated it. We should tweakers it soon brotha I think we learmed that these complex dungeons are lame. This is one aspect where you want more of a movie style experience. On the other hand, I felt like I had options. You can probably do that with the flow chart style dungeon though.

I tend to be too hard on myself (a trait which you and I share). We absolutely should do a tweakers on this session. Let's make it happen.
