This is the tightest EZdrummer-Expansion-Pack of the whole Toontrack-Series! I own a few of the Metal-Style-Expansions they made before but this one is just worth every cent. Compared to other EZX it feels just like THE perfect kit I always hoped to get. Most people sit in front of their DAW and go multitracking the EZdrummer-Signals. With MadeOfMetal EZX you probably will sit there and ask yourself "fuck! This preset is amazing". Seriously I didn't expect that this EZX is that great! I'm excited what comes next.

Yo Toontrack, this EZX includes raw, unprocessed kit samples, compatible with Superior Drummer 2.0, correct? The mixer presets are optional? If not, is there an SDX coming soon?

The intent of the EZX libraries is that they offer mix-ready sounds. However, you can use the ’Original Mix’ preset on any of the kits, which gives you a less processed version. This is great if you plan to run it multi-out and apply your own processing. And yes, all EZX libraries work in Superior Drummer 2 as well.

China stacks is what I believe we call Spocks, they are available in a lot of our products. A spock is where we stack a china with a crash cymbal or another china cymbal.

Mattias Eklund Oh, thanks for the reply! Well, I own both metalheads and metal machine and there are three chinas on each of those kits, but none of them really sounds like a quick attack china (like you hear Portnoy use alot, the max stax) "stax" or spock if you like!

Erlend Buflod in the Metalheads expansion we have a spock in the middle, not on the sides. I believe thats the position we normally use for spocks.

Hi! EZdrummer 2 is the main program and the EZX expansions are sound libraries that you load from within EZdrummer 2. You can run EZdrummer 2 stand-alone, but if you intend to record etc you do need a host like Cubase, Pro Tools or similar.

I might have to get this for the cymbals alone...I love metal machine and use it all the time for many styles of music...this might be a good addition....thank god they're still staying away from meinl cymbals...I fucking hate meinl...seems like these guys have similar tastes in cymbals...zildjian, paiste and sabian...done, that's it for me (with the exception of dreams new libor stacks but we'll probably never see those on an ezx)

All this effort an talent for another EZX, do you guys at Toontrack understand the concept of over saturating a market? This product would've been best served up to us as an SDX but all Toontrack understand is the concept of making money... what a waste of resources!!
