Love the Ezekiel slip-on short dart adapters. The adapters are swappable once you get a feel for them. Half a trigger pull in semi-auto with an empty mag and it pulls out easily. Similar with install…move the slip on pusher about halfway towards the front of the adapter, full trigger pull on semi auto and hold trigger all the way down while gently sliding the adapter into place. When you feel the adapter make contact with the stock pusher, gently push up on the adapter and slowly release the trigger to retract the pusher. The stock pusher will grab the short dart adapter pusher as it retracts. It sounds complicated but after a few tries you will get a feel for it and it works well. It might make sense to open the blaster the first time to familiarize yourself visually with how the system works.

I have one question these ROF kits on the way, and I'm going to be pairing it with an MTB Honeybadger, overvolted on 3s LIHV. I'm worried the HB overvolted might go too fast for the ROF kit and result in shredded parts inside.
@CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
Probably. More likely it will result in runaway and just never stop firing until you pull the battery out. This kit was designed for stock blasters. You are probably better off just replacing the pusher motor. But I am curious what will happen if you do both...

In this video, he explains how to install and remove the MK-3 Mag Adapters with the shell closed (though still not a true hot swap, and it appears to be only for straight talons). He also provides a little trick to cycle through the engine brake problem on 3s a little faster: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGPHhoqZeM2nm5Y

Could you run the Fly wheel cage and the firing mechanism on different power sources? This would eliminate your over rotation issue
@CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
You can. You can also put in a resistor or a buck converter, or a PWM to lower the voltage to the pusher motor.

Would the double rate of fire EZE gear work better with a Valkyrie motor? It might have better motor breaking. Switched the pusher motor to a Valkyrie on mine. Thinking about getting this kit. And putting a pwm on the pusher motor. Edit: banned blasters has a 200fps short dart cage for the MK3.

So half darts are just as good as full length darts for flywheels? They make the flywheels smaller or something?
@CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
Actually, in this blaster half darts tend to get slightly lower FPS. But if your sidearm takes half darts it is often preferable to use half darts in your primary as well. You can also carry twice as many half dart mags in the same area.
@jeffreycarman21852 жыл бұрын
Half darts get longer ranges with lower FPS and are more accurate. (For example my 120 to 130 FPS half-length gryphon shoots almost the same range as my 140 to 150 FPS full-length Stryfe). In addition, short dart mags are smaller and weigh less so you can carry more darts. Half darts don’t have as much time between the flywheels as full-length darts so the initial FPS will be higher with full-lengths if all other factors are the same.

Unneeded magazine adapters. I've had no problems with half-darts using the Stock adapter. this harder to install one seems unneeded.
@adriansue89552 жыл бұрын
EDIT: Oh! I understand! the fire rate doubler gear, means that the throw distance of the arm is now halved (fewer teeth per cycle) this is why he needed the more complex mag adapter with the integrated pusher extension. Because when using the doubler the arm doesn't otherwise reach far enough for half darts. might add an addendum note: that the mag and pusher systems are Integrated, you need the special adapter if you plan on using the rate doubler with half darts.
@CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
That is not correct. The double gear is not the issue. It is the pusher that is the issue. The pusher is what required the extended pusher mag adapters to feed half darts. He had a previous hybrid pusher version that could feed either. But it was less reliable. This design is much more reliable. The gear was the same for both.
@adriansue89552 жыл бұрын
@@CaptainXavier OK, sounds like, if my current pusher doesn't have problems with half darts. And the double gear is independent of the special mag adapter. Then I should be able to forgo that adapter, in favor of the stock in-field-swappable ones. ?

Though if I am being completely honest, I resisted the shift to half darts for a long time too. In fact I still run full lengths in my HvZ primary. It is all a matter of preference.
