Excellent knockout mod captain! Might i suggest you review the Ruspike binocular and flashlight combo. Ive got a set off amazon and they are great. The flashlight would have great nerf applications. Also, did you consider putting the half dart holders in that knockout? It may make it harder to holster but im not sure.

If you are referring to the bulbous thing you hold to pull and prime, yes, removing it is very easy.
