The time has come, the cowboys have cut zeke. I just wanted to come here and remember just how amazing a young Zeke. His speed, his agility, that quick first step, and his elusiveness. It’s what made him a rushing champ twice in three years. Sure, all of that is gone but he turned into a damn good power back and whenever we needed a yard or two I wasn’t afraid when we gave the ball to zeke. Sure he didn’t get any huge runs anymore but he filled his role perfectly and knew that it was pollards time now. He’s a great player, and will always have a special place in my heart.

O Line died.Every running back can get 1000 behind the 2016 O Line and apretty much you saw what Demarco Murray got in 2014(about 1800 or smth).Also 2016 Cowboys had the 5th ranked defense and they had the lead a lot over opponents so you couls eun to milk the clock.Nowadays with a trash defense and Dak starts bad and all of a sudden down 17-you gòt to throw your way into the game.Plus also the team is evolved to more pass heavy cause you got 3 potential no.1 recievers who can get 1000 yards.Thats why.And of course the QB switched a lot in 2020 so teams just stacked the box to stop Zeke.And also he has taken too many hits and is wearing out and also he been a workhorse even in Ohio State.He been used a ton.Like Eddie Geroger for ex.that fell apart in mid 2000.I still believe Zeke is a great player and behind a good O Line can do a lot of damage and get 1400 yards.Put him in Tampa for superbowl instead of Fournette and he gets 150 yards vs Chiefs vs That O Line.He just doesnt hit the hole as fast as he once could and doesnt have the homerun ability

After watching this there’s no running back in the NFL right now that even comes close to measuring up against Ezekiel Elliott. Taking over games running through eight man boxes, most rushing yards in his first 3 years, most yards after contact. It’s incredible watching this classic style running back, the type back that can thread through defenses without having to go around them or make any dodging moves. I’m sorry but if you think his skills are purely offensive line play than you just flat out don’t know football.

Isaac Hampton Barkley had 94 broken tackles last year and zeke had 46 broken tackles. Barkley had 7 carries of 40+ yards last year and zeke had 6 carries of 40+ yards in his nfl career. Barkley had 0 fumbles last year and hasn’t fumbled since his sophomore year in college and zeke fumbled 6 times last year. Barkley had 15 touchdowns last year and zeke had 9. Barkley had a higher yards per carry than zeke last year. Barkley is also faster and a better receiver than zeke. All this and the cowboys offensive line was still better than the giants offensive line. All you could possibly give zeke over Barkley is the rushing title but he had like 100 more yards in like 50 more carries. If Barkley had the same number of carries as zeke he would have the rushing tittle too instead of zeke. Just stating facts.
@isaaxvalid5 жыл бұрын
The Primary Classroom Fact is Ezekiel Elliott’s efforts result in the Cowboys traveling to the post season. All that and it amounts to what? 5-11 record for the Giants. Barkley is exceptional but he can’t put the team on his back. Because from Week 1 the New York Giants has weapons all over the field. Sterling Shepard, Odell Beckham Jr., Evan Engram, etc. So Barkley was running against 6-7 man boxes a majority of his first year. But Zeke, was the only weapon on the Cowboys team until the acquisition of Amari Cooper in week 9, and even after that he still ran against more men in the box. With all the elusiveness of Barkley you think it’d be in reverse right? Who do the defenses think is more of a threat? Who do they a fear more? Besides I recall people calling Zeke the best in 2016 when it WAS clearly Le’Veon Bell. So most of this is media hype and a chance to take shots at Cowboys fans. But tbh Idrc so if you reply I’m not going to read it.
