Ezekiel: The Bible Explained

Watch our Introduction video on the book of Ezekiel, which outlines the book's main theme and how it is fulfilled in Jesus.
The book of Ezekiel wrestles with the exile of God's people into Assyria and the departure of God's presence from the temple. Eventually, the temple will be destroyed, and it's Ezekiel's job to explain why.
While the people of Israel were quick to assume God abandoned his people and that their enemies overpowered him, they're wrong. Ezekiel says both Israel's exile and the temple's destruction were God's doing. God was punishing Israel for their sins. But Ezekiel also prophecies about a future hope where God would return Israel to her land, give her a new heart, and live with her forever.
The good news is that the hope that Ezekiel prophesied has come true in Jesus!

The video and characters doing the skit was wonderful, the scene of destroyed wooden rubbles imparted the atmosphere of ezekiel. The actors played their part very well and did impart the message of ezekiel indeed. The best video as far as explaining the Atmosphere and circumstances of Bible is concerned.

Ezekiel chapter 5 describes the siege and destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, and chapters 38-39 (I haven't read 37 yet) describe the time before and during Jacob's trouble. Ezekiel 38 is being fulfilled right now! Read 1 Enoch (the Ethiopian Book of Enoch) to learn more about the prophetic end times that we're living in. 1 Enoch was written specifically for this generation! (It's the only book of Enoch that's approved by early followers of Jesus, and that is quoted frequently in the Bible). 2 Enoch and 3 Enoch are likely not God's inspired word, but we must test all things. If it aligns with scripture, it is the inspired word of God. In the Bible it is written that knowledge would increase in the end times, (Dan. 12:4). This includes prophecies clarified in the Dead Sea Scrolls and 1 Enoch! The Testaments of the Patriarchs, Gad the Seer, and 2nd Esdras also contain important information for today. Peace be upon Israel! Even so, come Lord Jesus! Amen.

Right now we are teaching through each book of the Bible on Wednesday nights at the Church where I am an associate pastor. I switch back and forth with the Senior Pastor on what books of the Bible we teach on and this time I am tasked with teaching Ezekiel. One of the things that we do is we start our teaching with a video. He uses the Bible Project and though I reference it for learning while preparing lesson that I teach, Spoken Gospel videos are the ones I show. Our congregation was partial to the Bible Project but very recently they have started to enjoy the Spoken Gospel videos. So, thank you for putting these together. What I enjoy about each video and the reason why I use them is they tie each book of the Bible back to the Gospel and to Christ. My message tends to be very "Gospel-centric" and so are these videos. You are the temple of Gods holy spirit..as the body is the temple of the holy spirit..and the kingdom of god is within. Jesus..and believing in his love and teachings brings us to the truth..to which we are one with god.. The light of life. God does not come from afar..but rather from within. Though..we are in growing pains to this awareness...as there's a battle..in which to which.. Love will prevail..and god will be seen from within..so we know..Incorruptably..we too are one with God. Though for now blessed are those who believe yet do not see. Therefore hold on..to Jesus where "no name is higher" as "he who believes in me does not believe in me alone but believes in the one who sent me" .... I am one with God..I understand..I see god when my eyes are closed.. God is within and the spirit..of life. Thus the light of life. As we too are one with God. I see god as a flowing siloeht of light..he waves at me..and knows my thoughts..If I ask..god to send my dog..my dog will be sent..or birds or stars in the heavens and so on..god helps me to help people.. between Ezekiel and god’s chariot were angels. the eyes that were wheels are a type of angel called the Ophanim. they don’t necessarily represent that god is all-seeing, even if he is. they are messengers between the material realm and gods realm.
