Dr Peter Odili is truly an elderstateman. His support for Gov Fubara is the right thing to do in the present circumstances of the Rivers State. It would have been surprising if he had supported Wike ' plot and evil machinations against the governor. It is important to note that not a single former governor of the State thinks Wike ' case has a merit ; they all believe that Fubara is headed in the right direction. It is therefore unfortunate that Wike continues to cast aspersions and innuendos against leaders of repute and unimpeachable character and integrity not just in Rivers, but generally across Nigeria once he sees and deems them as not supporting his political brigandage and banditry. What Wike may not realize now is that increasingly his image and reputation is suffering an unprecedented crisis of credibility, too bad for somebody with a presidential ambition.

Wike is a "Communicant". He is a member of the Anglican Communion. His father, himself, is a Priest. He has the locus to address the congregation, especially after the Sermon and other serious ecclesiastical duties had been concluded. He can speak during the "Announcement" session, before the benediction. PS: Wike is also not on the Pulpit. This is a Lectern. The Pulpit is for Priests and some "Workers" like Lay Readers within the Communion.
