Just found your channel because I'm having problems with my cart. Thanks for giving real information that is practical and useful. Thumbs up. I think I have a bad solenoid, and now I know how to test it. I was confused by all the posts having positive voltage. Why do they wire carts that way, where the controller is sending ground rather than sending voltage? I'm just used to control signals sending voltage to make things happen, like how relays are typically controlled in HVAC systems, and other appliances. It seems odd to have the voltage already there and send a ground instead, but there must be a good reason.

@@FarmCraft101 did you get it figured out. You can run a wire from the main negative to the small post on sol blue wire. But before you touch it hit the gas then touch and see if solenoid clicks
@Golfcartwhisperer5 ай бұрын
Your guess is good as mine. But I think it’s just dead voltage that really does nothing. But your right most relays and solenoid either have a hot and a ground not both then it changes.

What actually happens if it gets towed while tow switch isn't thrown appropriately? Also, can you expand on testing the middle post on the controller (m-?). Your meter had red lead on main positive, and then using black lead to M-, right? What voltage numbers are you looking for with pedal pressing? Solenoid clicks good as blue wire is grounding as expected and both large posts show main battery voltage (50v+). Thanks.

@@Golfcartwhisperer I do not see a voltage increase when peddle press with RedTestLead on PosBatteryTerminal and NegTesterProbe on the Middle Controller post (M-, goes to A1 on Motor). )Your video test at 13.25). It shows .576v prior to peddle push. Full peddle push results in about .000 voltage result. I unhooked motor (Shunt, not series) and tested with A1 jumped to F1 and A2 Jumped to F2. Connected 12v to jumped terminals and motor seemed to run fine. If I understand it correctly, the A2 motor terminal is always full battery voltage, then A1 accepts variable current from the controller post M- (middle terminal). Subsequently, Forward and Reverse is enabled via 12-13 volts going to F1 or F2. There is no reverse buzzer, but do not know history of cart.
