Summary on all the PDI Checks: 1. Colour Marking, 2. Rusting (Check all the Metal Parts) 3. Check the Engine Oil Level (Lubricants), If Liquid Cool - Coolent Level 4. Scratch Free - Headlights, Oil Tank, 5. Test Ride to check the Sitting Posture and Engine Malfunctioning 6. Date mentioned on the Chassis and on the Engine. (When the bike was produced) 7. Date on the Tyres to check the manufacturing date of the Tyre.

Most importantly, do not make full payment before before doing pdi. I made a huge mistake and made full payment before pdi. Thankfully, the bike was not registered before doing pdi, and I observed a few scratches at few places, one was a major one. I refused to take that vehicle and requested for another one. I had to literally fight to get another bike.

@imyours777 I also made full payment before allotment but I had requested them to allow me to do the PDI before sending it for insurance and RTO work, but they didn't obliged. And because of this only I'm saying to not make complete payment before doing PDI.

Very useful. I arranged the insurance, so the dealer provided the year and month of manufacture along with chassis and engine number. Tyres have the month and year printed too, as new tyres in godowns age as is the nature of rubber to do so. Once you have paid the balance amount, little else you can do.

Why are you even trying to remove both hands while riding it? Local roads are not perfect, there are undulations, there might be tyre pressure differences, and so many factors that can cause it. If it's not dragging to a side while riding with both hands on the bar. Nothing to worry about.

The bike is in the warehouse and doing PDI before making payment doesn't work in most places Even if they do let you do PDI the bike will be in stock condition without any electrical connections so starting the bike and checking for engine is out of question We can definitely look for physical damage before the payment but they won't ON the engine or put petrol before the delivery so riding the bike before delivery is not possible in most of the showrooms

Just make your points clear to them, if you don't allow me to take a ride I won't buy. End of story. Remember they won't lose out on customers just for a couple of km rides.

It's on the harder side. Not very comfortable. Its good for approximately 100km, any longer journey will require a modded seat of air seat.

Is it good choice to buy Honda dio mfg 2023 in Mar 2024? Dealer mentioned a 6k discount for 2023 where as a 3k discount on 2024 manufacturing. I agreed for 2023 model and taking delivery tomorrow morning. IDK what i decided was right or wrong, i was only focused on 6k discount. 😢

Yes you can talk to the showroom for the same. But I suggest to do the pdi again before taking the delivery. Because lots of things can change in a night. You know what I mean. All the best!
