i have been using tyre for years with a harley, now i am going to garmin. when you send the file to garmin where will it be saved at?

Probably in the GPX folder. The Garmin should find it and ask if you want to import it. Since you have a Garmin, you should watch my series on using BaseCamp. Viewers really how I break it down and make it easy to use. Thanks for watching.

@@EZMotoTim thanks for the reply but i dont like base camp. in no way is it user friendly. i have used tyre, microsoft streets and trips, harley and honda ride planners. those i know. but if the garmin will find it then i am good to go. my new units arrives monday.

@@EZMotoTim i liked your tyre video, for now basecamp is not something that i am interested in. but you never know. i have a feeling that google is about to change their rules for using their maps AGAIN, so basecamp might get a chance then.

I heard you say you can use Tyre for Harley or Honda. Will it work with the Goldwing 2018+ gps? My Garmin files just generally fail when imported to my Goldwing Tour.

It sounds like the Goldwing GPS has the same issue the Harley GPS has. The solution is to go Tools / Preferences / Files Tab - uncheck "Use route tracks." Then when you export the gpx file to your thumb drive, the file should import OK. Note, however, you should include plenty of waypoints in your route so the GPS goes where you want it to go.
