My reading of the tea leaves: Ezra & Sabine started getting interested in each other, but the hardships they saw of Kanen and Hera made them reluctant to act on it. But they worked together and liked it; now they're separated and they'll discover a longing for one another. They'll reunited and decide it is worth the risk. So if they do become Ezrabine, I hope that they become at least one Star Wars couple that ends up having a good experience together. If they just stay as close friends/comrades. that's cool too. But they'd be good for each other.

Nope. Still haven't changed my mind about these two. I still think their relationship will not end in tragedy. First, as you said, it's a pattern that's starting to get tiresome in Star Wars, and Filoni really likes to do things different from what we're expecting. That seems to be his signature when writing. Even when we know something is going to happen, like Ahsoka surviving Malachor, he makes sure that what we think we know is nothing like what's about to happen (anyone who says they totally called what happened in The World Between Worlds is lying. Flat out. No one saw that coming). Second, Sabine and Ezra are his babies. Like Ahsoka, he cares for them a great deal. Putting them through hardship is vital to a good story, but putting them through needless hardship is a sign of someone trying too hard to be "edgy." Kanan dying was something that was needed to not just advance the story or tie up threads heading into the original trilogy timeline, it was also needed to advance Ezra's story and provide him with character growth. Satine dying was needed to show us, the viewers, besides Pre Viszla and Darth Maul that no matter how angry, hurt, and devastated Obi-wan gets, he will never use those to call on the Dark Side. So, just having something tragic happen to Ezra or Sabine not only causes unnecessary drama, it would serve no purpose whatsoever to advance the story. We've seen what Ezra does when pushed to the edge; we've seen what Sabine does when Ezra is taken from her. The death of either one would have no satisfaction or useful impact at all. Filoni isn't going to do that to his characters. And I'm still sticking to my belief that the very moment they both fell truly in love was the moment when they looked at each other in the control room, just before Ezra snuck away to get to the Chimaera.

680 days.. I will not change my mind. Sabezra is still here.. 6 years ago they started to hate this ship and start to laugh about it. They claiming about friends and siblings. Even they just ignored. but the fact is they just overlooked. There are more than friends and they are not brother and sister. Let me refresh your memory Sabine already had a brother named Tristan Wren. Sabine and Ezra are both worried to each other they share missions to each other they help each other they fought each other and they suffered to each other.. as I was saying Sabine save Ezra 5 times and Ezra Saved Sabine 7 times on missions combined with 12 saves in 4 Seasons... and it's pretty obvious to me when Ezra sacrifices himself from hyperspace to save his home planet then Sabine begging him to get off the Star Destroyer. Ezra chose his path headed unknown Regions. For the past 5 years Sabine Wren is protecting Lothal. But she has thoughts about Ezra in her mind.. and I know for a fact that Sabine really do miss him in her heart she do love him Why? It's Feelings..Sabine cannot hide the truth that the fact that she loved him. Ezra and Sabine can't live themselves alone.. Because they needed eachother. and they don't want eachother to die alone.. As a matter fact we seen a lot of Star Wars tragedies of romance in the past but that's about to change. Sabine definitely has feelings for Ezra, in season 3 episode 9, when Ezra and Zeb BOTH fell to their deaths, she told Hera she was relieved when Zeb caught Ezra and only Ezra. She didn't say anything about Zeb even though his life was just as much at stake. In that moment the only thought in her mind was hope that Ezra was ok. There is also the type of banter throughout the show between Ezra and Sabine that we get with Kanan and Hera. She obviously cares about Zeb, but it is clear in this moment that Sabine cares about Ezra on a whole other level. This is just how I interpreted it; I could as Obi Wan Kenobi puts be seeing what I want to but go check out the scene yourself and tell me if I am looking way too much into this or if you agree with me.

I still have hope that Ezra and Sabine will get their happy ending. With that said, given their current situation and Dave Filoni's statement regarding their relationship during Rebels, there is still a lot of development that would need to happen between them to make their true relationship worth the wait. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Even if Sabine still views Ezra as friend when meeting up with Ahsoka again, I believe in time they will each grow to recognise their importance to each other and this is the story I think we are all waiting on: The search for Ezra, but the discovery of more than just an old friend.

I think one of the worst things ever to have happened to the Star Wars Universe is the constant upset of good endings. Just look at episodes 4-6 and how it ended very good. Now look at episodes 1-3 and how it ended badly. Then look at the continuation of the Skywalker Saga with episodes 7-9 and how it upset the good ending episodes 4-6 brought. Finally look at how everyone hated the ending for Rogue One (it was a good movie don't @ me). There has really only been 1 good ending throughout the entire Star Wars series! If Ezra and Sabine get a good ending I think it would do justice to the constant "bad ending" predicament and perhaps solve the problem Star Wars has been facing for literally decades.

My happy ending to the coming search for Ezra is that he and Thrawn are on Yoda's homeworld where Ezra completes his jedi training. Asokah and Sabine search out and find another jedi temple and access the world between worlds to find Ezra and Thrawn but cannot just jump through to there due to some jedi mind force shield. So they eventually find their way there and are reunited, and then we have huge crossover between Rebels and The Mandalorian where Dyn Jarren and Baby Yoda also find the Yoda homeworld, with Dyn holding the Dark Saber. Ezra and Yoda's people build a New Jedi Order, and Sabine and Dyn launch a campaign to reunite refugees of the Mandalorian Purge into a unified people again. Jedi and Mandalorians join forces to reestablish peace in the galaxy once the whole Skywaker dramafest is over.

Even in legends you had Revan and Bastila where revan got imprisoned for 300 years and Bastila ends up raising their only child by herself after he disappears. Another one is Meetra and Atton from the sequel, Atton admits he loves the exile as he dies in her arms after Sion tortures him. And who could forget Jolee Bindo from Kotor 1 where he tells you about his relationship and how that ended with her becoming a warlord after he refused to kill her.

It's possible for guys and girls to be friends - my significant other (nine years now) has a similar story as Sabine and Ezra; she has "Always" tattooed over her chest in honor of her friendship with her best friend a guy she grew up with. Here's the thing - eventually the two did decide to date. I didn't ask for details obviously, but when they broke it off the chief reason was because it was too weird. They were both attractive but they really saw themselves as siblings and it was just so awkward. They broke up and remained just as tight as they were before, because even breaking up can't tarnish a true friendship like that. I think if Filoni really wanted to sell this case he should've had an episode at some point where the pair kissed and then it turn into something comical when they both realized there wasn't any spark AT ALL. And that it was like kissing a sibling! But as it is now? Absence makes the heart grow fonder and 10 years is a long time of absence. There were no hints that Sabine had tried to move on, but rather just sink further into depression. So here we have 30 year old loveless Sabine risking everything for this guy she knew for four years and every time I hear someone refer to Ezra as Sabine's "friend" in the Ahsoka series it feels out of place. Zeb and Ezra were friends. Rex and Ezra were friends. Ahsoka and Ezra who saved each other's lives were friends. Hera and Kanan were practically parents to Ezra, a real love. And Sabine was friends to all of them too and also saw Kanan and Hera as parental figures. But contrast that with Ezra's trust in Sabine and her overwhelming dedication to become the guardian of his planet, moved into his house, and risk everything at the long shot chance to get him back. I appreciate what Filoni is trying to do but it just doesn't land, and what's worse is he's right we DON'T see enough girl and guy friendships in TV and Cinemas. But the hormonal teenage years, mixed with attraction, and the stress of life and death situations, and unwavering commitment and trust in each other... Yeah they definitely kissed at one point or another or wished they had when they had the chance. If only just to find out if maybe.

@@merikano2985 Well, at this point, a romantic arc is the only way to salvage Sabine's character. That relationship does need to be adressed with no vaguness as well be consistent with what Ezra's attraction to her was in Rebels. It just needs to show Ezra's growth, cause currently it just looks rather terrible at how they are trying to hard to etheir supposedly bury or even hide it, which is hurting the characters and the growth they experienced. It just needs a great resolution and we didn't get that. Dave is just treating the audience like idiots, but we're not stupid. We saw Rebels, we know Ezra would want to be in relationship with Sabine. While Sabine didn't return those feelings in Rebels, the epilogue in the show as well as her actions in Ahsoka are too telling. At this point, she does need to tell him in a way that matches the gravity. It's not a really a matter of wheather or not they would get together, but that there just needs to be an explation that feels natural and has to fit with how a normal person would react to the consquences.

I think the brother and sister relationship is out of context. In season 1 and 2 obiously the age difference make Sabine to ignore Ezra intentions and dont take him seriously. But in 3rd and 4rd after Ezra grow up the gap became less significant like Anakin and Padme (5 years difference). So a relationship becomes more possible.

I personally think that so many animated series have two people regardless of sexual orientation, have been sidelined by the creator as being just friends and when they do fall in love just like in star wars, it ends tragically. It's high time we get a relationship in star wars that is not tragic and something that is pure. I don't see anything wrong with Sabine and Ezra falling in love. Though I didn't like the way they handled the whole show, they can improve with another season or at the very least a sequel show or a movie that focuses on Ashoka and Sabine finding trying to find Ezra in the unknown regions of space.

I guess I’ll be a dissenting voice and say that I prefer a platonic relationship between Ezra and Sabine, one where they are close friends that stand up for each other. Not every relationship has to be a romantic one, nor should they. Rebels delivered strong stories that were not overly muddied by romance, and the approach to Kanan’s and Hera’s romance was delivered in an appropriately measured manner. It organically happened has the story was being told, but it wasn’t the focus of the story of Rebels. I believe that formula should continue. - Rich

Sabine did not rely on him, and that is the ultimate truth, sisters need their brothers, because of failed judgement calls, girls always choose wrong or believe they did and they need constant support for that issue, that is the truth of today and btw this goes for girls not women there is a difference, the young make mistakes but that is a different discussion altogether, one that I would be willing to bring a steel sword to. 2. Neither Ezra or Sabine confirmed their feelings on the matter, and that is because the cartoon is just that...A cartoon and throughout the seasons they never cover that topic and with good reason, it isn't a support show like supergirl or the flash, SWR isn't about that. 3. The true reason why they aren't brother and sister, she is mandalorian and Ezra is a jedi, that core factor...I cannot stress to reveal more elaboration into the importance of that difference, she grew up with tales of old...The jedi were enemies, after having to work for the empire she then learned that they were either traitors...Or too weak to be depended on. And Ezra grew up believing he didn't need anyone by his side to survive, and that was because he felt no fear he had no fear, nothing to lose meant he could live his life as he pleased and because he had a gift for agility, he always got what he desired, that kind of lifestyle will always leave a mark on you, you don't just find someone and boom you need them, no when Ezra is alone, he WILL go back to his older lifestyle period, which means he has NEVER needed family, with two dead parents and no siblings, he CANNOT understand the meaning of siblinghood... Ezrabine however cannot happen and the reason why is because of this one solid factor, Sabine is an age group older, and Ezra no matter how strong he is...Time has a way of distilling romance to certain romantic shelves if you will, just as a younger woman will not ever have a peaceful life with and older gentleman so it must be vise versa, and unfortunately Sabine was both drawn and written to be a quickly maturing girl and Ezra a very young adolescent.

I see it like this: Ezra and Sabine finds Ezra but he already turned to the dark side and have yellow eyes. He somehow kills Ashoka but Sabine convince him by revealing love. By love, Ezra is saved just like Revan saved Bastila but here's the problem: none of them feels love to each other.

New SW Disney content undermines the true nature of humans by motivating the idea of simple male and female relationships in the context of being friends. Every time and everywhere. Only LGBT couples are ok in their love affairs while others fail dramatically. Look at legends material. There Luke was a good husband and father. Look at Leia and Han! They were excellent couple and galaxy binding family. Wadge Antilles' offspring/relative will rule the galaxy one day there. Maaaan. Why its all should be SJW in Star Wars today?
