Looks like the F-15s Flight Model was quite fixed. While im not really sure as i havent tested it enough, these are (wether we like the plane or not) great news for the new top tier balance.

Honestly with playing it for hours and hours , they can easily not give it AIM-120s and with the flight model alone it will suffice for now for its gameplay , it feels like a "realistic" F15 by war thunder standards.

Personally I believe the F-14 was more advanced when comparing the early F-14A and the F-15A as the F-15 was not capable at the time to launch Fox-3 missiles while the F-14 was.

​@@julmdamaslefttoe3559 Gajin's "balance"... Could've added F18 which entered service 1979, F15C veriant 1979 too. As was the Su27 a counter to F15, F18 was a counter to Su27 when US found out about it

It's not about which one was more advanced, it was all about the weapon development of the time period. F-15s didn't need ARH missiles because ground-based missile systems filled that role. F-14s needed ARHs because there was no supplement.

⁠@@lemieux-z8933the F-18 was not a response to the SU-27. The F-18 was chosen by the navy over the F-16 because congress wanted a cheaper fighter than the F-14.

Wonder when they will actually fix the G ripfor the wings. Overall i like the f15 in its current state but the f15 should also technically be even better than this flight performance wise lmao

I don't understand the hate for the Aim7M. I mean sure it isn't the best radar missile, but I love it on my F16. Idk I still feel like it slaps, and I enjoy using it. I wouldn't turn down a better missile, but I'm not mad about getting 4 of them on this bad boy.

It's not that bad but R27s have better flight performance in every aspect and outrange them, when you use aim7s appropriately (i.e not expecting to hit 40km shots on anything but an afk player) you can have decent success with them. Part of the reason I still wanted amraams this patch is despite still having slightly worse flight performance to the original R77, I think it would still close the gap, irl there was a reason that the Russians continued to use their Fox-1s all the way through the 90s, 2010s and now whereas we phased out the sparrow completely in favor of amraams.

The hate comes from the fact that on way too many ocassions It can miss really easy targets, like directly turning away from them, and if you loose lock for a fraction of a second they blow up. Also when compared to the r27er, its twice as slower to be optimistic, and tracks way worse pulling less Gs.

@@narcissus5970 I guess maybe it is just ignorance is bliss as I don't have anything with the r27's, and maybe I am just lucky in my personal experience as I never feel like I've had that issue with the Aim7's (sure the exploding when I lose radar lock from time to time, but I never feel like it's egregious). I definitely don't want to invalidate anyone else's experience though, but for me personally I feel like the Aim7 slaps down anything I go against pretty easily. If I fire it from within 20 miles, even sometimes out to 25 I feel pretty confident I'm getting a kill, maybe I just feel that way because it's all I know and I don't know any better, but again this is just from my experience, I can't speak for everyone.
