07:45 I've got the M2000 on trial atm for DCS and I've been amazed at it's dogfighting power! I reckon it's one of the best dogfighters out there, I just wish I had a real guy to take it against instead of those stupid DCS AI :(

The good thing about flying the Eagle, is that even if you get shot down, you've done something that's never been done before IRL. 😛

Actually that's not entirely true. Two Strike Eagles were shot down by ground fire in the First Gulf War. But it is true that no F-15 has been shot down by another aircraft.

@@000-z8n I'm not saying the f-15 isn't an absolutely beautiful and effective piece of equipment. But newer aircraft that it may face (su-35, su-30) can match it 1 for 1 in bvr. And may actually be better than it in a dogfight.

I'm a Longshot fan largely because he's such an Eagle fan. He's got great taste in planes. Man, with the split throttles, that F-15 was moving a bit like an F-22 every now and then.

In differential thrust we trust 😌 I just imagined what that last kill from the ground in reality would have looked like - two mighty jets slowly coming over that ridge, desperately fighting against gravity - then suddenly *BRRRRRT* and it rains burning debris on you 😅

The Eagle in Japanese livery over the snow covered mountains is so beautiful. Imagine if you could dogfight around the base and slopes of Mt. Fuji near Tokyo! Japanese map might be something they do in the future, the way South Asia is heating up militarily these days.

Yes the Tomcat can take some serious punishment. I heard about a Tomcat that literally crashed. They salvaged the titanium swingwing box and put it in a brand new Cat. Amazing!

Round four: I certainly don't think he "tried" to go one circle... I think he was dodging that big ass peak that you forced him into, that made him have to reverse again.

Pretty nice video, I love the Eagle so much and it is an amazing plane. In my opinion using the differential thrust in the F15 is not really useful, engines are attached to each other and it could only help the aircraft doing a counter-roll, to make it faster because of the better yawing moment, but during a turn I think it's not that great also because you decide to pull away some thrust from one engine that you could have used as an advantage against the enemy who don't have the same amazing power as the Eagle, and that bit of thrust can really make the difference in a dogfight. Just a personal opinion, everyone flies as he wants to, and you fly great.

If it's available on DCS could you perhaps do a dogfighting video with the Tornado F3, even though I know it's more of an interceptor than a dogfighter, or even the GR4, which is even less of a dogfighter than the F3 just to make it a bit more challenging. Even though neither are dogfighters in the traditional sense, it would still be interesting to see how they would do in a dogfight against the various traditional dogfighters like the F-15, F-16, F-14, F-18, Mig-29, Su-27 and its various Flanker varients. And of course the other European fighters like the Eurofighter Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen and older ones like the Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000.

I’ve been watching you, Growling sidewinder and some others for over 2 years. Always happy to see a new video. I have two questions: 1. I see others providing trading groups for $$$ for DCS. I think you could offer trading videos at less cost, think about it? 2. I’m at a place where I might get a separate system to get into DCS. Any vids or resources you could point me to for everything I need? Thanks!

Hey Longshot, since you have a fond for Eagle, and I think you flew the Japanese Eagle the most amongst DCS players out there, I was wondering if you can fly the JASDF Tactical Fighter Training Group (TFTG) F-15DJ "Soto Ao" (Outer Blue) livery from 1990 to early 2000s. You might be familiar with the livery because it was used by Cipher "The Demon Lord of The Round Table" in Ace Combat Zero

Given how it's been two years and that you have a different opinion then he does, how about aa video on that? ...Or you can just say it here and not put a ton of time into it when you have other projects.

There you go getting in some of the basics. That so called trick you say you've been practicing and used in the first fight is nothing more than a Korean War trick American pilots used to stay behind mig 15s by using barrel rolls to extend your flight path when your in a faster plane. Maybe your using differential thrust, but as an arm chair pilot it looks like a barrel roll to me. Viewing from the sideline you did very good at the technique, but could use more practice. Good job

Funny thing about"almost had him", it's just a miss. You either hit, or you miss, "almost" means nothing. Guns are like that. Hand grenades present a different story, "almost" can work with hand grenades.
