F-150 5.0 Borla S-Type Exhaust

2019 Ford F-150 5.0 with Borla S-Type exhaust system. Also has an S&B intake. Cold Startup with revs.

Did you have to raise the body at all to install it? On American Trucks instal tutorial he mentioned they had to.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Yea I love the Borla S-types. They are loud when you want them to be but sort of quiet when it's warmed up and at idle. And to me, this exhaust is one of the best tones out there.

I just traded my 2016 2.7L Lariat for a 2020 5.0L Lariat and I’m truly amazed at how much better and fun the 5.0 is especially with the 10 speed. I will be installing the Borla S exhaust soon :-)

Thank you so much! Well its the cat back system so I'm not 100% sure as I had the exhaust put on when it was getting some other stuff done as well. But I will also work to get some other videos on this as well, maybe include some drive by and take offs as well.

I haven't heard that particular setup in person, but from the videos I've seen, it sounds pretty good! Idk I've always just liked the deep sound of Borla, but yes the Flowmaster Outlaw does sound good.

I have the outlaw system on my f-150 and sounds great. Only draw back too me is the cab noise can get irritating on long drives.

I don't know. I do have an intake on it as well but I doubt that would change the tone. But so far I love this exhaust setup. Sometimes I think it's not loud enough for me lol.

A great way to get a deeper tone at idle and low RPMs is to get a wider diameter exhaust tip. Usually wont work with dual out but single out would.

That definitely sounds like the atak not the s type. S type is no where near that loud ? Unless maybe you did a muffler delete??

Definitely the S-Type. Can't see it in the video but it does say S-Type on the bottome of the mufflers. The only other mod the truck has is, is an S&B cold air intake. When your just cruising around, it is actually fairly quiet. But step on it and it roars.

tylerventures I’m trying to decide on the s type or the atak. I hear some s type and they’re kind of quiet and the atak is loud but not super loud. This just confuses me even more.

Simon Amaral If youre gonna tow dont get the atak. That thing will scream. The s type is a nice balance. Very aggressive cold start but it will quiet down and zero drone. It is plenty loud when you punch it. I have a vid if you wanna hear the cold start :)

@@MrInzombia I just ordered the S Type for my 2020 F150 5.0. The balance you speak of is exactly what I'm looking for. It's no secret the 5.0 engines have the potential for some serious growl, but the factory exhaust just muzzles that thing way too much for my taste. The S Type has a reputation for providing what many are looking for..some into the throttle growl without mind-numbing drone while cruising. Looking very much forward to the install.

Just installed the S-Type catback system. I don't believe that includes resonators on that exhaust system.

@@tylerventures this is very odd because I ordered my borla S-Type Cat-Back system it came with chrome black tips the system did come with a resonator so tomorrow I am taking it off and just straight piping the resonator

@@edwardkareem6446 Hmm. Looking at the system, I do see where there is a resonator with the kit. So there must be one on it because I didn't have it removed or anything. But either way, I've been very happy with the S-Type, just kinda wish it was a little louder sometimes, maybe some headers would be nice!

@@edwardkareem6446 I mean I'd be all for it! I love loud vehicles. The 5.0 to me is one of the best sounding motors out there. I don't know if I have heard the 5.0 with the S-types and resonator delete. Would like to hear it.
