Push the old bulb from the back very carefully. Also wear gloves to prevent natural oil on hands from touching bulbs and be VERY careful when taking apart and putting back together the plastic unit. Great video Dude.

Any clue how to fix it if you broke the little plastic tabs on the housing itself that holds the assembly in? Grabbed onto the surrounding plastic and barely any force broke the chinsy little white plastic tabs and now my console won't stay in the black plastic assembly up top. Duct tape hasn't done the trick to hold it in place either.

O did but the lights won’t turn off, still on but not to bright, just a little light. Replaced the roof one and now is the roof one that doesn’t turn off.

Theres a small slit on the back of the housing put a screwdriver in it and pry down

Replaced my old bulbs with new LEDs . It works but only when the car is off once turned on they won't turn on

I followed your instruction on the video, one of the lights worked fine the other seemed to not make the connection with the bulb. I have turn the bulb 180* per mfg. instruction, still no light. How do I fix the connection, it seems that the bulb wires are not making contact with the outlet. I am replacing with LED bulbs.

CJ I have to take out the screws inside the console because for whatever reason the light bulbs are to big to come out from the hole. I have an F150 2008 XL. Do you happen to know what size star bit are those screws??

I little late but I'd say check the the bulb is in all the way in it might need a little more push or you might have put on the putting wrong and your missing the switch

This dude removed the housing just to install a damm bulb🤣. Literally making it more possible to damage the housing for good when u could just pop in the bulb
