My 03 F-150 made the same sound it was my idler arm replaced it with a mooge with grease fittings no more squeak 👍

Why not just take the 3 bolts holding the gearbox off to slightly turn the gearbox to install pitman arm puller? Saves a lot of time and energy

I really didn't think the pitman puller would work...I tried prying and broke the lid of the steering box :( got fluid everywhere. Warning, use the pitman puller! Nice work, what a b*****!

Sorry to hear that. I couldn’t get the pitman puller to work originally. Once the other “techniques” were exhausted I went back and made it work. Cutting through the arm was the ticket. Not a fun job, took a lot of patience! Thanks for watching DWG.
