the f16a has much better low speed handling than the ADF. Not sure why but you wont lose control until around 80 kts unless you use the rudder. I've also heard it rates better but I havent tested this myself

Can you compare flight model with DCS on this particular plane please? - Stall speed in particular flight level - Controllability at speeds near stall - Climb rate etc..

The DCS version feels much more polished, has much better nose authority across the board, but worse stall characteristics (because they aren’t fantasy bullshit lol). The Viper in WarThunder flies similarly to the Mirage 2000 in DCS except it has better stall handling than that as well. The last two clips of this video show the wing stall and flat spin handling (I was trying very hard to avoid both on both occasions) that’s about the only place the jet struggles, and also the only thing I’ve never had happen in DCS so I have no point of comparison for unfortunately.

The F-16C and F-16A-15 are two entirely different aircraft. The F-16A preforms exactly how it should in game, if you put up its flight charts side by side characteristics and match the conditions, they match up perfectly. DCS flight models are dogwater I have come to learn, especially the F-16Cs, so don't use DCS as a standard.

After flying the ADF I can say that I'm quite disappointed with F-16. Shortly after the release some people were saying that it has the best radar in the game and that it flies like a buffed F-5 Well, I find the F-16's radar very unreliable, no TWS and firing the AIM-7F is a basicaly a roll of a dice, even if the enemy doesn't react properly, and the plane has a turn radius of a planet if you go anywhere above 900 kph And then there are little things that are just annoying: the vulcan has been nerfed into oblivion, to see the RWR you have to look down on it, unlike in planes like MiG-29 or F-14, the missile rails are angled downwards, forcing you to lead more and making short-range shots harder and the lack of a drogue chute is just cherry on top

I can’t say I noticed the rail angle being an issue, or the Vulcan being nerfed, and I don’t mind the RWR being in the cockpit either but it is a bit of a balancing issue if they’re not going to hold everything to the same standard. Completely agree about it being underwhelming and nothing like the F-5 though, the lack of pull at speed doesn’t feel right at all, I also missed not having TWS, and couldn’t agree more that AIM-7s are shit.

And I'm here trying to research the Mig23MLD to later get the Mig29. Mig23M is a painful because of the flares.. Nice video tho. I would rather fly the Mig27M or the Su22M to bomb bases. However, as the result is pretty much impossible to bomb without getting killed lol

@@Bullet4MyEnemy The best choice is the ML for now. The MLD and ML are pretty much the same thing in terms of performance. BTW, I think the Mig23 is coming for DCS. I'm looking forward to buy in the future. I'm currently flying the JF-17 in DCS :)

@@Bullet4MyEnemy sometimes it simply doesnt hold the lock even on people going straight. I dont understand, I think they messed up something. When the mig29 released it had the exact same problem and it sucked, now that they fixed it it has one of the best radars in the game.

@@ccclll987 If they’re going straight away from you and your speeds are similar then radar can struggle to see them in a similar way to a notch, best to use it for close/mid range head ons and think of them as a means to get your target defensive rather than for actual kills.

Actually flew it for the first time in ages last night, had the intention of hitting some ground targets with Mavs but ended up shooting a couple of helis and hiding from Hornets instead. I’m massively out of practice and quickly reminded myself how much I hate the unintuitive work flow of the targeting pod. I’ll get around to it eventually though; really want to get some MFDs because I detest having to click shit in the cockpit when I’m in a hurry… But I don’t think I have enough USB ports.

@@Bullet4MyEnemy Yes. I have done just the same trip. Flew it alot 6 months ago. Just started with it again the other week. Regarding the Tpod, i allways slave it to the steer point that i am attacking. It is not that easy to find TOO. I use WW F-16 throttle and a VKB GF3 stick, i have managed to bind the needed OSB so i can be HOTAS during the whole engagemang.
