Cool video. I've seen the Raptor demo at a number of Oceana NAS and Langley AFB shows, they have NEVER done IR flares. They do lots of pyro at Oceana, even the wall of fire thing, never flares. And with Langley's once every five or six blue moons policy about airshows, Oceana is the only place we can see the local FF Raptor fly locally. It's interesting when the Raptor rolls out on the taxiway, with no introduction, and thousands rush the fence to get a look at it. It's a true superstar.

Such a mistake to cut production of this plane. If NGAD doesn't go through as planned, I really hope to see an upgraded/updated "F-22C" with NGAD tech incorporated into a more "modularized" version of the Raptor airframe for simpler future upgrades & adaptive engines. Of course, that would be awesome, so no way it happens.

Flares got cleared for his demo team this year on Military bases and over big bodies of water only! St. Louis wasn't approved due to Chesterfield Missouri being a civilian base and not over water!

I honestly don't think on these demos or flight sims really give away the real capability why would they only way is if this is already obsolete that's what I believe....but its a crazy jet that turns on a dime in dog fighting most important thing the goal is to get enemy in front of you period...

@ Hopefully nobody took what I said the wrong way. I'm mostly being facetious when I allude to fighter pilots being "out their mind" or "crazy", but...in all actuality, in order to fly F-14 Tomcats or F-22 Raptors for the US Navy, you have to be *different* than most people. Everyone who flies F-22s or F-35s or FA-18s or F-16s are out their damn minds. And I salute each and every one of them for that. 🫡 #ToTheCrazyOnes
