You think Microsoft could use this method for 360 BC on SX? Always felt they could've done more FPS boost games, sad they cut it short.

It could be a way, but I think companies uses their own way to unlock the framerate because they know exactly which part of the code do this. But probably the obstacle is economic, because companies ask for money to modify their games. They have to search for the code of a 10-15 years old videogame, ask a programmer to search for that part of code, because probably the original programmers have left the company, and so on.

If Xbox took the approach that GOG does with old games, but like 10x better, then maybe I’d buy Xbox more often. It’s a shame they kept punishing their customers who stuck around even after Xbox One to now. I enjoy their console and don’t want it to be a paperweight. But what do I know? It’s not like Xbox would actually be a decent PC for cheap or anything.

More or less. I unlock the framerate, then the console gives as much frames as it can.

Unfortunately not yet. They, as for Halo Series, have a more complicated way to manage the fps. I've found the location but I can only lower the framerate
