Absolute waste of money. CH should have opted for Gripen or Rafale. Way more bang for the buck. By the time time the Turd has turned while getting of at Meiringen it is in Italy, Germany, France or Austria. The country is too smal for turds.

Hi, the four F-35A are deployed on Hill Air Force Base in Utah. As I know it was planned that they fly from there directly to Switzerland. But then they had an unplanned stop on Burlington airport due to refueling issues. From Burlington they flew directly to Switzerland and arrived in Payerne in the evening. Greetings from Germany

Does this thing have a jet or rocket engine? The engine is bigger than the air craft!! Or is this a space craft? What the hell is this thing? Scary looking for sure.. This thing is bad ass.. What ever it is!.. Would not surprise me if it will fly low earth orbit. Wow!!

Have you noticed the elevators bouncing up and down all the time during higher alpha passes and landing? Looks a bit unstable in pitch axis, or control loop tuned a bit agressive

Too loud. Too long take-off. Too massive heat-signature, both at take-off and supercruise, not to mention w/ afterburner. So-called stealth is useless against Russian low-frequency radar technology, or sensors picking up heat-signature and/or noise. A common failure is to believe in "stealth." At the smallest hint of an possible attack every capable radar-operator is able to find "stealth" planes even now. F35 might come in hand when air-supremacy is secured, but it's not useful against any technically developed aggressor.

Yes looks somewhat a handful for the average pilot, also aircraft which are underpowered like the F-35 relative to it's peers is always a bad omen - but she certainly makes for an expensive but superb attack aircraft when all the electronic gimmicks are working (eg. the 360° sensor-array 'glass' view mode). The F-35 here without any loads needs afterburner for the takeoff while the F-5s do much better without, this also is something not so super fine, pray that they never have to go up vs. SU-57s 1 : 1 with more and better Air-Air missiles, better radar and vastly superior performance. This could only happen if we become part of the EU and consequently of NATO....

I read that they are making some major upgrades & improvements for the up-coming F-35D's: Stronger & Lighter Airframe for More Agility, More Powerful Engine & Increased Weapon's.

Warum werden keine russischen Kampfjets in der Evaluation beteiligt ? Diese wären nicht nur besser, sondern auch billiger Ausserdem ist ein Jet mit 2 Triebwerken eher zu empfehlen !

Russische Flieger sind nicht mit unseren bestehenden Systemen wie Radar und Waffen (Sidewinder und AMRAAM) kompatibel, was also alles neu Beschafft werden müsste. Dazu kommt das russische Triebwerke wesentlich häufiger überholt werden müssen als ihre westlichen Gegenstücke Und das mit den 2 Triebwerken ist eh Quatsch. In den 50ern war es noch eher so das ein Triebwerk einfach so ain Problem hat und aufhört zu funktionieren. Moderne Triebwerke sind um ein vielfaches Zuverlässiger, und die meistgebauten Jäger weltweit sind nur Einmotorig, zum Beispiel die F-16, MiG-21, MiG-23, Mirage-Reihe (mit Ausnahme von IV und 4000). Auch die Schweizer Luftwaffe hatte bis jetzt nur 2 Kampfflieger mit 2 Triebwerken, Die F/A-18 und die F-5. Weder Mirage noch Hunter und nicht einmal die alten Vampire und Venom hatten grosse Probleme mit der Triebwerkzuverlässigkeit! Ausserdem ist ein Triebwerk einfach günstiger.

Que des passages en ligne droite et des touch & go, rien de très spectaculaire. Le Rafale est autrement plus dynamique dans son domaine de vol. J’espère que nos amis Helvétiques n’ont pas fait un très mauvais choix avec le F 35.

Pouvoir voler dans et hors Alpes suisses est l’un des profils spécifiques qu’ils veulent voir initialement pour le futur combattant. Les performances du Rafale sont comparables lorsque vous le configurez avec des magasins externes. Le prix unitaire est de 77,9 millions de dollars contre 144 millions dollars pour le Rafale.

The first production Su-57 crashed on its pre-delivery functional check flight, the day before it was supposed to be handed over to the VVS. It has an inherent adverse yaw problem at higher altitude because the vertical stabs are too short, and get blanked out by the large wing area in a spin. It’s like a pancake basically if it enters a yaw rate too fast at altitude. The very gifted and highly-experienced Sukhoi test pilot tried everything to save it, even de-coupled the flight control system and attempted a manual override to save the jet, but could not, so he ejected at fairly low altitude before it burned in. More alarming is the fact that they don’t even have the correct engines developed for the Su-57, and we’re at least 11 years into the program now since it first rolled out.

Nun die Deutschen haben nun offensichtlich genug von ihren Euro-Fighter und bestellen jetzt F-35....der Untergang der europäischen state of the Art Flugzeug Industrie steht unmittelbar bevor. Zwar stecken die EU-Staaten Rekordsummen in die Rüstung aber offensichtlich ohne nachhaltige Effekte, es ist ein Trauerspiel.
