Since the DCS weather system is a bit buggy right now, you have to use a certain workaround. You need to setup the clouds at minimal altitude and desired density via the old/legacy weather system (you can use the old one by selecting the „none“ preset). If you have anymore questions, hmu!

Question, Theres not much PIO following the ILS onto the deck during this case three. I was unaware of it however I am also not the most informed F-18 pilot on DCS, but does it have auto-pilot for carrier landing like the F-14 does?

Yes, there is the so called ACLS (Automatic Carrier Landing System) that can follow the ICLS glideslope from around 6 nm distance from the aircraft carrier. It uses the built in Datalink to communicate with the carrier's ICLS system.

In this video the ACLS is actually used. On the HUD you see CPLD P/R, which means its in coupled Pitch & Roll mode

Completely true: my everyday is to break a hornet's landing gear while landing in a weather clear as a blank sheet of paper, and now i've just seen THIS landing and not even sure if I can call myself a pilot anymore :DD Great shit pal, a landing we'll never overrate cuz it's impossible to o7

How you are still able to have shadows on the carrier deck even with bad weather? And I'm not talking about reflections because I'm sure you have an RTX video card.

I have everything maxxed out in the graphics settings and the RTX 3080 is keeping up really well! But I expect that the new DLSS will improve performance a lot.
