On June 15, 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Open Day at Amberley Base in Queensland. The highlight of the event was witnessing the F/A-18F Super Hornet in action. The air display was nothing short of spectacular, with the Super Hornet demonstrating its impressive capabilities. The powerful sounds of the twin-engine jet were thrilling and incredibly loud, adding to the excitement of the show. It was an unforgettable experience that showcased the prowess and versatility of one of Australia's premier multi-role fighters.
