So comprehensive and deep in every aspect of your analysis, as always! Thank you 🌹 I found your channel a month ago, and wish to tell you that I can't pass one single day without watching at least one or two of your analytical lecture videos of our dear Chopin! Not only the valuable knowledge but also the inspiration of how you proceed with them is highly motivating!

7:48 for further context the word “berceuse” in french comes from the word “berceau” meaning cradle (typically one mounted on rockers); also giving us the verb “bercer” translating to “to rock to sleep”

Thank you so much dear Greg for your wonderful video with the Berceuse from F. Chopin. Thank you for wanting everybody to know and understand his music. I can imagine a baby going to sleep with this beautiful melody : a mother singing to her baby or at the piano or as you explain it : A basket full of flowers and throwing the flowers in the air. Thank you for explaining the beauty in music.

Wonderful! I love that halfway through when you realize you _could_ end the video there, of course Greg takes it the step further and discusses every little variation. I love you for that, I feel like you're the only person on youtube that satisfies that depth of discussion, just so we can all nerd out on our favorite music.

I just love listening to you talking about Chopin's music! I'm starting this piece now.. I have played some waltzes and the nocturne in e major so far.. It will be a tough challenge but for me it is the better choice over any etude right now. Also : I love listening to how you play because I can clearly notice that you fully enjoy Chopin's pieces and play them with all your heart! Great content!

Thankyou again for the beautiful tutorial and making it come alive in my head! This is my 2nd time listening to this tutorial and it's the most enlightening and inspired tutorial on You Tube. My favourite versions of this are by Cortot, Kissin and yourself. It's my favourite Chopin gem cos everytime I play it I hear new voicing and resonances that are as you said "magical". ❤

I love it that you played this in a slower tempo. I just listened to 3 masters in a row play it at a faster rate and I must say I was disappointed. This is one of my favorite pieces and I think speed really ruins it.

Very interesting. I have finished It but ì am still having some troubles with variation n 9...expecially in the high sexties, that is very difficult to play fast and soft at the same time. I Guess this masterpiece takes some YEARS of full exercise to reach a good level!

I am confused where the variations start and end. The theme has 4 measures but you demarcated variation 1 with 5 measures and variation 2 with 3 measures neither of which are 4. Also the start of variation 2 is not anything like the start of the theme but more a continuation of variation 1 which seem to have an extended tail. I guess the rules are much looser.
