This is overwhelming. I can scarcely believe that you've managed to put together a 23-minute tutorial for the entire piece in response to my paltry comment. And you've done it in 48 hours. Ludicrous! Thank you so, so much for your guidance Paul. Having watched the tutorial, I can see so many areas that I will able to hone to a much greater standard with some hard work. I find Section 7 (or the "music box" variation as I call it) tricky too! Once again, thank you. This is one of the kindest things anyone has done for me. Let me know if I can do anything for you (above and beyond Patreon). My very best wishes to you and yours.

Me and my wife have been watching your videos since the beginning of the channel (or something like it). We are together for 10 years this year and we still love watching your videos about painting, playing the piano and having news about your wonderful family. We just want to wish you all the best, Paul. You are a great man and will always inspire us while touching our hearts and souls. Thank you.

This is so helpful, thank you so much! I hate to be THAT guy, but the thrill at 18:10 should be Bbb-Cb (A and B enharmonically), and then Ab-Bb.

Paul you have no idea how helpful this is. I knew my way of playing section 7 was somewhat off but your tutorial has shown me why with perfect clarity. A massive thank you.

Paul, thank you for the tutorial. I'm listening to you play the final bars of the Berceuse as I view the new photos from NASA's Webb Space Telescope. Such a beautiful piece of music to listen to while looking at stars millions of miles away!

Hi Michael -- yes musical pictures if ever there was, just been looking at them too on the NASA website. It's incredible NASA can correct damage to the mirror (5 times) from so far away. www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/thumbnails/image/main_image_deep_field_smacs0723-5mb.jpg

Been thinking about learning this piece! This tutorial may be the reason I finally go for it. I have big hands so the left hand part will be easier perhaps.

Yes, big hands will certainly help with the left hand as you rightly say.

@@PaulBartonPiano The right hand figurations in this piece seem to be quite difficult and come from all the various etudes. I don't just see 25 no.6, but also 25 no.11 and 25 no.1. Would you say it's appropriate to play this piece if the only Chopin etude I've played is op 25 no.2 (and am currently learning op 10 no.12)? I adore the Berceuse but it really does seem quite intimidating.

Paul!! I was deciding between Ballade 3 and this to learn this summer. I picked the ballade but might learn this now because of your awesome tutorials. They are both so good. Maybe I can learn both if I practice enough.

Hi Shootthechicken -- I like the idea that you challenge yourself to both pieces. After reading your comment I dug out my B3 and had a run through, just reminded myself what a wonderful piece it is.

@@PaulBartonPiano Hey Paul, thanks for the reply. I’ll try my best to learn both of these great pieces over the summer. I’m so glad I got you playing Ballade 3 again, it’s my favourite out of the 4. Each section is so unique but equally beautiful.
