This is my forget everything and run pack. I take it everywhere I go when I travel.
I would hate to have to survive on only this pack but I'd hate even more not to have it.
it just has the bare essentials needed to get you through a situation.

You need rubber gasketed swimming goggles for blowing sand, dry snow & fire smoke. Everything else looks great.

Not a bad bag. Clever name twist. There are three things that I have in my bag that you need to add; add a pair of socks, a headlamp with extra batteries, and some non-lethal self-defense such a pepper spray to defend against dogs or other situations that do not call for deadly force. I would also upgrade the poncho.

I've got a bag like this. I call it my IRAN! bag, I Ran Away Naked! Its a backpack with a set of clothes and sneakers, gloves, eye protection and masks, ID, cash, torch, emergency radio and first aid kit. Its basically for if some emergency has me waking up in the middle of the night and I have to run for my life with no time to even get dressed.

A small pry-bar for opening stuck doors, smashing as a hammer, etc. (a few nails)... tape a curved needle and thread and a razor blade inside the lid of your first aid tin (your mirror) small magnifying glass, a outdoor water spigot key... a pair of leather gloves... a hat... a piece of copper wire... a nail clipper... a small bottle of ever-clear or vodka... some wood tooth pics and a tooth brush...

Nice kit; I have my own variant. Because of the importance of this bag, may offer a few suggestions:

In the bag, you may want to add a golf pencil for a fail safe writing tool and you can use the wood to shave down for fire starting if you really need a starter

Great idea on the "FEAR pack". Ive been using an northface buttpack style pack, thats comfortable 3nough to always remain strapped and clipped around my waist, chilling on my backside. First the pack itself ive made small mods to 😢 the yeyears. One great addon was a scrap piece of kevlar i found that i attached to the bottom of the buttpack, that rolls up with 2 straps and when unrolled, is used as a buttpad when sitting on cold/wet surfaces. The buttpack has 2 large water bottle holders, 1 per side. One always has full bottle of water while other has another large rugged plastic bottle, but inside it is a bunch of tools and items, like fire startinf, water treatment, small knife and razor. Etc. Paracord 550. Spare batteries, etc. Inside the large butt pouch is oerfect for a pistol and spare clips, wrapped in loose afghan scarf to cut down on noise when running. Final pocket had copies of paperwork like ID and passport, and meds and painkillers, simple first aid. Strapped to the pack strap is the limb cuff to help slow down any excessive bleeding. A small tube is included in the pack that has a bear bamger pen and a handful of 15mm flare cartridges, bird bangers, bear bangers, bear tear gas, flash/concussion, etc, depending on the danger. Ofcourse small bic lighters, uktra dried cut off small pieces of fat wood in wax wrapping. And whistle amd various knives/multi tools. In cold months i sneak in a mylar emergency blanket and a pocket silk sleeping bag liner that by itself makes for an awesome 'sleeping bag', just filled one nalgene bottle with heated water, wrap with tshirt and tuck in next to your chest.

Great little bag. Just a few things I would recommend that could be helpful: a Signal Whistle with a Lanyard, and a copy of your weapon permit. Emergency contact information and a little cash. Be safe

If you ever feel the need for some more space with that bag, maxpedition sells the Janus extension pouch designed to clip in line with the shoulder strap.

My only input would be to swap the battery flashlights and battery equipment for usb chargelable ones and carry a battery bank instead, usually more powerful and efficient whilst saving space and maybe some weight.

Super glue and needles and thread. If you have room a couple tounge depressors for a splint of dry kindling.

Great Video ! For the Fisher F-701 pen you need a paperclip to remove the plastic insert from the tip of the pen ! Then you install the Fisher Space Pen refill. On my NATO/EDC watchband I add a Suunto button clip-on compass and set the digital watch to 24-Hour mode ! My bag is the Maxpeition 17" laptop bag that fits Level 3A Backpack Armor ! tjl

A broccoli band wrapped around a couple thousand in hundos and twenties and a couple Kruggerands always come in handy for getting certain things done.

I have an EDC, just in my pocket. The one thing that I use every day, bar none, pocket knife. The second most common for me is a flashlight. I've been needing a replacement. What i like about your's its basic. I don’t need 24 brightness levels, 12 modes, 6 colors. Basic on off, maybe 2 brightness levels. I also like the double battery option.

Mine is called the ‘OLOK PSK’ (One Litre, One Kilo) which does not include a water bottle and no firearm (i’m in Canada), not as capable as your setup but does make for a good ‘stuck outdoors overnight in bad weather in Montreal’ survival kit.
