The best part about this lesson is that it makes you want to use this difficult C chord shape. I have always found it one of the more physically challenging shapes to acquire. Once you start using his method both chords become much more useful (and it leaves out the nasty bar chord all over the neck).

Just quit lessons after 5 months of half an hour weekly in person lessons at Guitar Center in Boise, Idaho. They never taught me the fretboard at all.

You should think about purchasing his book in some form. It isn't expensive considering the value and it would show your appreciation for his hard work. It is not the usual "how to play guitar" book. It is a collection of the thoughts he is passing along to all of us. It forces you to think about and make use of the simple concepts that are invaluable to making it fun to play instead of grinding practice for the sake of practice. Been there, done that (and it didn't work). THIS WAS NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
