I generally don't care for Metal or Rap, but I really like this one because it blends so well, each of them adds to the song, and the message is a positive one that we just don't hear much nowadays. this is also a prime example of how music is becoming more and more International: Two Thai performers and a Japanese group singing in three different languages (Thai, Japanese, English), and it's doing well. I knew that Coach would not only like the song, but probably recognize the message - sounds almost like a halftime speech when the team is behind. ;)

Great reaction. This is F Hero's song, but he made it a real collaboration with a pretty much even split between all three artists and they all blended and complemented each other so well. Bodyslam are (I understand) Thailand's biggest rock band, but I've also read most of their own songs are a lot softer.

Bodyslam are absolutely huge in Thailand. They're the biggest rock band ever to come out of that wonderful nation... I'll be seeing BabyMetal this June in Amsterdam, taking my 10 year old grandson (his second BabyMetal concert), who is obssessed with them.

A lot of the Thai reactors have excitedly called out that Su-metal sings the echoing line at 5:13 in Thai language, not Japanese. I really like how Su- is singing and recorded here. Sounds especially clear and in a more relaxed manner than her expected powerful belting. Her voice sounds really good with Bodyslam vocalist Toon's voice. I would love to hear a full-on duet with something more than octave harmony.
@caragio9 ай бұрын
Love that too. To me, not just because Su's singing it in Thai, but P'Toon's tender voice followed by Su's beautiful voice is sooooo satistying 🙂

Yes and what a collaboration. In Thailand Bodyslam is famous since more than 20 years but they never were this Hard. Their guitarist is a Babymetal Fan and the song was obviously composed for Babymetal and produced by F. Hero. Babymetal usedvthis time Moa and Momo to sing and Su had to harmonize.

Great reaction, thanks! Definitely one of the best collaborations I've ever seen. Very well balanced among the three artists. Really loved F. Hero vocals and Bodyslam instrumentals and specially their singer's vocals. I believe that, as a BABYMETAL fan here, it's fair to mention and remark this. About BABYMETAL, it was just perfect. Very happy that Moa and Momo had some separated lines from Su-metal (who sounds amazing, btw). 🤘🦊

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Amazing triple collaboration! I have been smitten even after I heard this song hundreds of times. 😍. I love the juxtaposition of darkness and brightness both conveying positive and encouraging messages. After the seal of BABYMETAL's hiatus was lifted, it is difficult to follow their high velocity to develop surprising things by their own and with other excellent artists. It is, of course, happy surprise though 🤩

NIce reaction you two. Fun job as always. Mrs. Coach you really hit on it when you noted that Moa and Momo had a legit singing role here. For a lot of fans this was a huge moment-actually Babymetal's whole contribution-as there were so many call backs to Babymetal's early days. A time where Su and the gals had a more balanced-though there is no doubt Su is the star-vocal interplay in the songs. Personally I hope this collab-which BM really seems to be leaning into by way of support. Is a nod to some of the direction they'll be heading in in their new phase.

Try listening to the work of the man named F-Hero to be an inspiration to people on the western side of the world.

Bodyslam sounded very nu metal here (think Linkin Park), but they're normally more of a melodic rock band (think U2). Thank you for being openminded about Asian countries having their own music history that don't strictly follow the Western templates. Speaking for Southeast Asia, I'm going to recommend something entirely different: the Filipino folk-rock classic "Anak" by Freddie Aguilar. Utterly moving song from 1978 (so his peers were Western singer-songwriters of that era) about a prodigal son expressing remorse to his parents, ostensibly from personal experience. Huge international hit during the cassette days, crossing over to the European charts, & was translated into some two dozen languages. Nothing beats the original Tagalog version, but Aguilar also sung it with equally-poignant English lyrics (initially for the regional market). For more private listening, give "Nada Sōsō" 涙そうそう a shot. A lilting Okinawan folk ballad from 2000-1, heartwrenchingly thanking a deceased sibling for always being encouraging during childhood. There are three memorable renditions, one each by the co-songwriters Begin (band) & Ryoko Moriyama 森山良子, plus an iconic cover by Rimi Natsukawa 夏川りみ that astoundingly stayed on the Oricon charts for half a decade. A 2006 eponymous movie was made, typical idol romance fare except its credits scene (featuring the song & real-life kid photos) will have you bawling. KZbin has the latter clip, as well as Natsukwa's official MV, with English subtitles. Do search for the other aforementioned versions in Japanese.

This took me by surprise too! They did such a masterful job of blending 3 languages, 3 vocal styles, and 3 musical styles all seamlessly! And yessss! We get to hear Moa and Momo together, a rare thing but always magical when we get it! (If you haven't, watch The One unfinished version on the first take. They only sing the same line together a few times but they sound sooo good.) I thought it was so awesome that F Hero (its his song) let or wanted Babymetal do their full thing with brand new choreo! (Su mentioned she likes the choreo they do when F Hero is whispering, which means I'm sure Babymetal will play this live in some capacity! Yeah I really don't like most rap but I LOVE F Hero's voice and style! I'm looking into getting some of his stuff, looks like he does a ton of collabs) And I hadn't heard of Bodyslam either, turns out they are really soft inspirational rock, and I already bought two of their albums!

F-Hero can almost be a Rocker as much as a rapper. Something that has me intrigued. As i am usually not one to follow rap outside of legends like Lauren Hill, TLC & more recently Yoon Mi-Rae. Babymetal finds some way of making what shouldn't work work. You will find as you proceed down the foxhole here. There is a lot to discover along the way. One of my favorite Track is also one of their most difficult. It's only been performed once live and was a Tribute to Dream Theatre"s Dance of Eternity. Tales of Destinies is a mind bending signature warping song. Which has about as many time shifts as it does signature changes. Add to this Rondo of Nightmare Mischiefs of Metal Gods at Budokan Live. Which features a very young Su-Metal maybe 16-17 at the time. To what has to be one of the most brilliant live intros in Metal in recent memory. It is my go to track for anyone still on the fence. Not to mention shows just how dedicated this band is. Keep in mind Babymetal had already been together for 6 years even at this early point lol. Putting them at just about 12 at the time of their debut as Yikes!! 🙀 What was i doing at 12 as certainly nothing as cool as this. 🤘🦊🎸
