These days, the dealerships are very concerned about reviews. I think it's extremely important to understand your audience. Some ppl say no, and they really mean it. Sometimes, you're better off just moving on and finishing up the paperwork. It's really embarrassing when you get a poor review.

Every car buyer should watch this video before heading to a dealership to immaculate themselves against this type of rhetoric. I bought a $100k EV truck recently and I took the tire & wheel coverage (which I actually value, especially since I've already scratched my wheels and will need to use it), but also they pushed me some other $300 coverage, by outright lying "they had a coupon which cancels this out". Turned out to be the lie, I can clearly see my finances amount is basically the purchase price + these 2 coverages. So one more technique to pay attention to as a buyer.

I don’t care about the payment. I don’t care about the interest rate. I take the product for MSRP or far under or I walk.

This is good sales info. It works especially well on the uninformed. It also works well on the payment customers who are the dumb customers by definition. This is unfortunately most customers. Focus on one thing and one thing only, the OUT THE DOOR PRICE. If you focus on anything else, you'll spend more than you need to. If for some crazy reason you actually wanted any of these "programs" you can buy them directly from the providers cutting out the dealership and getting a better price. But you'll still be wasting money.
